This topology is a combination of traditional boost topology with voltage multiplier. The Traditional boost converter is unable to provide high gain ratio since it has high voltage stress and high duty cycle, hence the three level DC-DC boost converter is used which gives the reliable high conversion ratio. The main advantage of proposed topology is output voltage can be increased by using the combination of capacitors and diodes at output side of the converter, without altering main circuit. Proposed circuit is used for high power application with severe duty cycle. The proposed three level dc-dc boost converter topology consists of 5 capacitors, 7 diodes, 2 inductors and a switch. The design parameters of proposed topology are input voltage, output voltage and duty cycle which are of the ratings 28V, 167V and 46% respectively. The verification of proposed topology is done by experimental results.","PeriodicalId":383674,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Optimization Techniques (ICEEOT)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115684298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a classic case of an unstable system. The angle measurement with the help of a fusion of gyroscope and accelerometer requires filtering mechanism as both provide erroneous angle results. Kalman filter is one such filter, but the design and implementation of such a filter is lengthy, tiresome and difficult to implement on smaller 8-bit micro controllers. Thus, this paper intends to design and implement a Self balancing robot with the help of a complementary filter and its analysis using different filter coefficients using PID algorithm as the control strategy. The robot is powered with a lithium-polymer battery to drive the motors.","PeriodicalId":383674,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Optimization Techniques (ICEEOT)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126867908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The distributed generation based system with renewable energy resources have rapidly developed in recent years. These distributed generation systems are powered by sources such as fuel cell, photovoltaic (PV) systems and batteries. This consists of two conversion stages, in the first stage the low level voltage from the PV cell is converted to high level voltage by using a dc-dc converter. In the second stage the high level dc voltage is converted into AC voltage by using inverter. The electrical energy demand requirements can be achieved by increasing the gain of the converter. The proposed converter high gain achieved by replacing the coupled inductor instead of inductor in the basic sepic converter. Further increase of gain is achieved by using charge pump capacitor cell. The main advantage of the sepic converter is continuous input current, which can be helpful in accurate PowerPoint tracking of solar cell The inductorless regenerative snubber that reduces switching losses and helps to attain soft switching (zero voltage and zero current switching) conditions.","PeriodicalId":383674,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Optimization Techniques (ICEEOT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116846600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This firefly algorithm is a category of nature-enthused algorithm of swarm intelligence, i.e. depends on the response of a firefly to the light of other fireflies and also perform well on various numerical optimization problems. The modified algorithm uses the improved velocity concept of particle swarm optimization to enhance the searching behavior of standard algorithm. A comparison of the firefly algorithm with that of modified firefly algorithm is performed for some standard benchmark functions through simulations. The algorithms are also checked in various standard dimensions for providing effective output. The simulated results prove the superiority of modified firefly algorithm as compared to the traditional firefly algorithm in standard benchmark functions and in all dimensions. The results give an idea that the proposed modified algorithm enriches performance of the standard firefly algorithm and converges more quickly with less time to produce optimum solution.","PeriodicalId":383674,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Optimization Techniques (ICEEOT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122044266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work presents an attack detection model using Artificial Neuro-Fuzzy Interface System (ANFIS) for IoT networks. Based on the input-output profile, ANFIS adapts its rules and membership parameters using hybrid back propagation and learning algorithm. In this paper, Sugeno type ANFIS has been considered. The ANFIS model can take dynamic information such as traffic flow, energy level, packet size, packet rate, source-destination address, source-destination ports, etc. as input profiles, and generate the current network security state as an output profile. The performance of the ANFIS attack detection model can be compared with fuzzy logic, neural networks, and pattern recognition based attack detection models. Performance evaluation shows that the proposed model is more reliable than other approaches based on confusion matrix, mean square error and accuracy measurement.","PeriodicalId":383674,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, and Optimization Techniques (ICEEOT)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122177501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
