One of the modules is being pseudo-equatorially oriented along two axes based on an annual orientation program which will be described in the paper. The second PV module is installed on a fixed and optimally tilted frame orientated towards South. The paper also describes the electrical and the monitoring system used for measuring the parameters of the electrical energy produced. In the end of the paper a comparative analysis is made regarding the energetic response of the two tested photovoltaic systems in the geographical and meteorological conditions of the Braşov, Romania location during three most relevant day types (sunny, normal and cloudy days). Two main conclusions can be stated: firstly, non-deterministic orientation programs need to be developed, able to adapt themselves to the instantaneous ratio between direct and diffuse solar radiation; and secondly, the resistance of the consumer has the main role in transforming the whole incident solar radiation into electricity or only a part of it resulting in the need of using control systems capable of adapting the consumer resistance to the maximal power of the PV module.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"161 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132400030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their frequencies and levels can cause large damages of different electrical motors parts. This is the reason why even in the design phase it is useful to be known the values of the natural frequencies of the parts. This can be made in two different ways: using modern capabilities of finite element method (FEM) or doing experimental modal analysis. The study developed in the present paper refers to the modal analysis of a three-phase squirrel cage induction of 1.5 kW, for both, for its elements and, for motor and the electric motor as an assembly. The FEM modal analysis was applied using ABAQUS software for assembly of the 7 elements of the motor. The 3D model was developed, mechanical connections being of screw type. The theoretical model was validated by experiments, with impact hammer test method. The validation confirms the assumptions made for the 3D model and the designed model can be use, as example, for other FEM based modal analysis. The natural frequencies obtained both by FEM and experimental method does not overlap on the working frequencies.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126419625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The architecture consists of three main components: a mixed-integer-programming level, a two-layered web service level, and an OPC UA server. The web service layer acts as backbone of the architecture and assures its flexibility and adaptability. Several innovative aspects have been combined to achieve the proposed goals: aggregating UA server, automatic address space generation, and session-based connection management. The functionality of the architecture has been tested through an application based on a flexible assembly system. The results indicate that both objectives are met and the decisions are brought closer to the process. In conclusion the architecture is flexible, easy adaptable, and reusable, it optimizes manufacturing processes and it meets the requirements of the device networking ecosystems.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121607111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Numerical modeling of DC busbar contacts","authors":"I. Popa, A. Dolan","doi":"10.2298/FUEE1102209P","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2298/FUEE1102209P","url":null,"abstract":"The paper presents two electro-thermal numerical models which can be used for the modeling and optimization of high currents busbar contacts for DC. The models are obtained by coupling of the electric model with the thermal field problem. The coupling is carried out by the source term of the differential equation which describes the thermal field. The models allow the calculation of the space distribution of the electric quantities (electric potential, the gradient of potential and the current density) and of the thermal quantities (the temperature, the temperature gradient, the Joule losses and heat flux). A heating larger than that of the busbar appears in the contact zone, caused by the contact resistance. The additional heating, caused by the contact resistance is simulated by an additional source injected on the surface of contact. The 2D model has been solved by the finite volumes method while the 3D model, by the finite elements method. Both models were experimentally validated. Using the models, one can determine the optimal geometry of dismountable contact for an imposed limit value of the temperature.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133325122","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The load sharing characteristics of the series-parallel connected interleaved LLC converter is then analyzed and a current sharing mathematical model is developed to illustrate the current sharing principles. A case example of a 300/12-18V, 2.5kW, 500kHz interleaved LLC resonant converter is designed and simulated to verify the proposed load sharing model. The established model's error analysis is conducted and the developed model is proved to have relatively high precision in current continuous mode and satisfactory precision in current discontinuous mode. The Monte Carlo analysis is executed to get an overall review of current sharing among different frequencies and the Worst Case analysis is executed to reveal the sensitivity of different influencing factors. The paper provides innovative and valuable references for the dimensioning of series-parallel connected interleaved LLC resonant converters.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"240 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132298658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Belong the coupled simulation of grid faults to determine the critical fault clearing time of a machine the main influences on the ability of a machine on keeping connected to the grid during a fault with deep voltage transients are discussed. This influences are especially important to know, if a synchronous generator does not fulfill the stability requirements and has to be optimized.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134551990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ideal candidate for such a mobile terminal radio receiver front-end is the Software Defined Radio Receiver (SDRR). The main challenge the designer must overcome is the SDRR circuit level design optimization, while considering the large amount of information comprised in the envisaged wireless standards. By driving the SDRR design through an initial system level analysis, based on a standard independent systematic methodology, the useful information is structured. Thus, a SDRR design recipe is developed based on the circuit / transistor level designer perspective.","PeriodicalId":382406,"journal":{"name":"2012 13th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114227903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
