To increase awareness of sustainability issues, event promoters encounter various challenges in planning and organizing sustainable music concerts. This study aims to identify the challenges of achieving sustainable events in organizing two music concerts held in Jakarta, Indonesia from the promoters’ perspective as an effort towards the Sustainable Development Goals. This study used a qualitative approach. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 10 stakeholder representatives to find out the role of decision-makers in planning music concerts. Documents and information from the organizers were used to complete the qualitative analysis. The results showed that sustainable events cannot be applied comprehensively in organizing music concerts. There were obstacles from external and internal promoters in their preparation which affected the decision-making so that they became factors hindering the implementation of sustainable principles in organizing music concerts. The challenges for promoters in preparing for music concerts are the ignorance of stakeholders regarding the environmental impacts, the unprepared facilities, infrastructures to support sustainability, and socialization to achieve sustainable development goals. This research contributes to policymakers by revealing promoter barriers to sustainable events for achieving sustainable development goals.","PeriodicalId":38172,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Research and Policy","volume":"235 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74730070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this case, the construction service provider involved in a project is required to understand how the contents and conditions have been included in a construction project work contract so that they can identify the total number of construction work activities according to the scope of work. In this stud,y the method of analysis was used by taking references from several previous studies related to the management of the scope of construction work. Apart from the literature, data collection and interviews were also carried out with service providers, namely the main contractor for the ABC building construction project in the city of Jakarta. By using knowledge and experience for the implementation of project management, in terms of how the contractor can carry out the process of preparing the scope of construction work in detail. Therefore, information on the results of processed data from respondents who were directly involved in the implementation process of the ABC Building project was also obtained regarding the factors and variables that influence the drafting process to control the scope of construction work to help improve project completion performance. In this case, it produces data that it is known that there are 6 variables that have a strong influence on the preparation of the scope of construction work for the ABC Building project.","PeriodicalId":38172,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Research and Policy","volume":"115 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86632157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conventional water treatment process has an impact on the environment due to the clean water treatment process. Clean water treatment produces GWP and Eutrophication impacts derived from the use of chemicals and electricity. This study aims to analyze the factors causing environmental impacts arising from the clean water treatment process at the PDAM Water Treatment Plant (IPA) and determine policy priorities related to reducing environmental impacts and improving the quality of drinking water treatment at the Water Treatment Plant based on the results of LCA and AHP studies. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method is a method of assessing the potential environmental impact and evaluating the environmental performance of a process on the product. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consists of four stages, namely determination of Goal and Scope, Life Cycle Inventory, Life Cycle Impact Assessment, and data interpretation. In research, the scope of LCA used is Gate to Gate, namely in the Coagulation, Flocculation, and Sedimentation process units. From the results of the LCA study, the potential impact of GWP of 12760.76 KgCO2-eq comes from flocculation which produces floc from the addition of chemicals. Meanwhile, the potential impact of eutrophication is 268.55 KgPO4-eq derived from mud generation. The results of the decision in reducing environmental impact at DWTP  by  optimizing chemicals as a top priority, then the second priority by recycling sludge, and finally making savings and energy alternatives are the last priority. Each respondent's score reached 55%, 23% and 22%. The results of the implementation of the program if implemented can reduce the impact of GWP 20079.17 kg CO2-eq and the impact of eutrophication can be reduced by 201.401 kg PO4-eq.mportant matters discussed in the paper that significantly contribute to the final result of the research may be noted here, but you have to consider, however, the limited space of the abstract.","PeriodicalId":38172,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Research and Policy","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73532525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of the 17 sustainable development goals, one of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that has received the most attention to date is poverty. This is because all of the SDG’s goals are a form of encouragement and effort to achieve the target of \"without poverty\" in 2030. Through this research, it is hoped that one can understand the implementation of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in Jakarta. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) can be carried out through the Small Business Community. However, due to the lack of knowledge about global economic developments, assistance is needed. Therefore, the author wants to examine how Sustainability Analysis in the Business Community Program Increases Business Scale. This study used qualitative research methods, data collection was carried out using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Specifically, it examines the role of crowd perception as a deciding factor for selecting a restaurant, thereby influencing overall consumer satisfaction. The research comprises a sample of 100 respondents, spanning multiple generations. The data analysis technique employed is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings of this study underscore the significant mediating role played by Perceived Crowding (Crowd) on the relationship between Purchase Intention and both Customer Satisfaction (SAT) and Word of Mouth (WoM). This insight suggests that the presence of crowds acts as a crucial factor in shaping customers' purchase decisions, overall satisfaction, and likelihood to engage in positive word-of-mouth referrals. Interestingly, the research highlights the distinct behavior of the millennial generation and Generation Z. These younger demographics exhibit a penchant for aligning with current trends. Even when faced with long queues at a food establishment, they display a willingness to wait, suggesting a correlation between crowd perception, purchase intent, and consumer behavior in these generational groups. This study underscores the importance of understanding the dynamics of Perceived Crowding and its role in influencing consumer behavior, particularly among the younger generations. It sheds light on the complex interrelationships between Purchase Intention, Customer Satisfaction, and Word of Mouth, offering valuable insights for businesses in the food industry seeking to optimize customer experiences and harness the power of positive word-of-mouth promotion.","PeriodicalId":38172,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Research and Policy","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89404043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This dual regulatory framework plays a pivotal role in ensuring the industry's robust growth while adhering to cultural values and legal safeguards. Sharia law, represented by fatwas (Islamic rulings), is a foundational element in halal tourism. These principles encompass various aspects, such as halal food, modest dress codes, and ethical behavior, aligning with the cultural and religious expectations of Muslim travelers. To fortify this alignment with the legal structure, it's crucial to integrate these fatwas into positive law, the national legal framework. This integration achieves several vital objectives. First, it establishes a legal foundation for the halal tourism industry, giving it a solid footing within the broader legal context of the country. Second, it enhances transparency, ensuring that halal tourism operators and tourists alike understand the rules and expectations, thereby fostering trust and credibility. Third, it ensures that the industry remains compliant with both Sharia values and national regulations, leading to a more sustainable and inclusive sector. The ultimate goal is to create a halal tourism industry that not only caters to the needs of Muslim travelers but also upholds legal standards, protects consumer rights and contributes positively to the nation's economy and cultural heritage. By synergizing Sharia principles with national legislation, Indonesia can pave the way for a dynamic and legally secure halal tourism industry that benefits both its people and its image on the global stage.","PeriodicalId":38172,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Social Research and Policy","volume":"291 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79480953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
