Especially drawing from the often-overlooked African diasporic critical and philosophical tradition —with an emphasis on Africana phenomenology and existentialism— the book addresses questions that are central in Africana thought yet remain under-explored in peace studies. This enables to rethink peace studies’ assumptions, conceptual frameworks, and epistemic and normative elements. Inter- or transdisciplinary dialogue requires a profound re-evaluation of what constitutes the exclusions in both knowledge and politics. This, in turn, necessitates a critical examination of the structures and organization of knowledge, a deeper understanding of the field’s identity, its foundational narratives and presuppositions, a reassessment of the relations with other disciplines and areas of knowledge, and the histories, the subjects and the forms of agency that it privileges. Taking race and racism seriously through African diasporic thought entails, among others, reconsidering the ties of peace studies with international relations and liberal political theory, bringing to the forefront the question of freedom, examining the relationship between the ethical and the political, and complicating the distinction between violence and nonviolence.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147900628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Today, technological advancements, their renewal, and decentralization are important yardsticks of the development of nations. Similarly, on governance aspects, digital e-technologies have transformed governance by transforming it into e-governance which has led to the huge collection of data on citizen behaviors and engagement patterns with governance interface. Data and its management are the new currency type in the digital realm, the fourth industrial revolution, and discussions of globalization 4.0. Big data and artificial intelligence can make more of a contribution to better ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of governance goods, such as the execution of programs and policies to target segments of citizens. This chapter intends to propose a conceptual model to improve the personalization of e-governance products and services to each citizen of India to his or her socioeconomic, educational, and environmental background. The proposed conceptual theoretical models incorporate the 278political system of the country and its technological interfaces and estimate to improve the governance experiences of citizens.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"277-289"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147888196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By the end of this century, global climate models indicate that the average temperature will have increased by 0.3–4.8°C. Various authors have documented strong evidence that minimum night-time temperatures (NTs) rise far more quickly than maximum daytime temperatures. Studies on the effects of high daytime temperatures (DTs) and NTs on plant carbon relations are necessary due to predicted patterns of global warming, the differences in how respiration and photosynthesis react to temperature, and the relation-ship between these two processes. According to many investigations, HNT causes higher respiration that leads to carbon loss (night respiration), decreases grain and total dry weight, reduces photosynthesis, increases membrane damage, and, in the end, reduces fertility and yield. Plants with increasing temperatures have increased respiratory activity that is thermodynamically driven, which may be the cause of 30–80% of the loss of absorbed carbon. On the contrary, recent research suggests that HNT can influence the translocation and accumulation of photosynthates during the grain-filling process. Therefore, it is important to investigate how HNT affects carbon balance and the activity of key source and sink enzymes that significantly control the generation and storage of photoassimilates in the source and sink tissues during the crucial grain-filling phase. To address the impacts of HNT on plant metabolism (respiration), future work is urgently required to understand the complex mechanisms under HNT to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"91-111"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147878566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
