This paper attempts to explore the intersection of professional identity and gender identity construction by two women professionals in academia by investigating experiences of gender-based harassment and discrimination. The qualitative method of narrative inquiry is used to explore narratives of sexist behavior and gender discrimination in the workplace. It explores how gendered remarks cause self-doubt in the way these two women construct their professional identities. The paper aims to identify the ways in which patriarchal articulation of professional identity leads to a feeling of marginalization as working professionals. It also highlights the resistance strategies employed in the construction of professional identity while also carefully avoiding the risk of being labeled ‘difficult women.’","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"25-38"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-02-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147918695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the prevalence of many stressors and the high frequency of such conditions, stress-resilient cultivars are advocated as a very reliable alternative to integrate existing in the era of climate change. Focusing effort and resources on innovative breakthroughs in plant breeding is crucial since the challenges posed by the global warming 392repercussions and the urgency of food security can no longer be solved by conventional breeding techniques. Consequently, agricultural biotechnology assisted with newly evolving molecular biology toolkits is reaching its age, and it has made incredible progress in this area. Because of these, the scientists were able to identify the genes responsible for underlying resilience mechanisms to concerned stresses using different strategies, which are often equipped with precise, cost-effective, and eco-friendly tools. These genes have been then validated and pyramided into cultivars with concurrent durable multi-stress resistance. Additionally, modern biotechnological tools like Multi-Omics-Led breeding, genomic selection (GS), GWAS studies, TILLING, gene editing technologies (CRISPR-Cas9 system), plant noncoding RNAs, Pan-Genomics, etc. have opened up a new prospect for precise plant genome engineering without off-target introgression. Though these emerging technologies are encouraging, the road ahead is very challenging for the targeted improvement of cereal crops. Thus, the cross-talk and effects of stresses make breeding initiatives more difficult, demanding more vigorous research efforts. The strategy to design crops/cultivars that can sustain different climatic stresses while delivering a reasonable yield and, ultimately, strengthening food security is of more importance. These efforts can also improve our knowledge concerning plant genomes to develop high-throughput innovative breeding methods.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"391-412"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-02-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147879492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its specialization requires the implementation of various activities to achieve a high value-added offer. Peru is a country with enormous potential for birdwatching tourism, specifically the San Martín region is one of the privileged places. It is part of the northern bird circuit of Peru with a great diversity of birds from the most common to the endemic, where this type of specialized tourism can be developed. The present investigation is carried out in the Arena Blanca Ecological Reserve, a site specialized in providing bird-watching services located in Alto Mayo, San Martín, Peru. The objective is to analyze the implementation of continuous heritage interpretation processes that facilitate bird-watching, as well as the management of the tourist site. This research has a mixed methodological basis. The qualitative approach will allow detection of the implementation process of the interpretation as a management tool for the tourist site for observing wild birds. Likewise, the approach will allow collecting data to evaluate the effectiveness and satisfaction of the operators, tourists, guides, and/or visitors in the visiting area. The analysis is intended to demonstrate that the processes of interpretation of the heritage allow for facilitating the observation of wild species and how it contributes to the management of the tourist site.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"23-41"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147882660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Triantis","doi":"10.4324/9781032715063","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4324/9781032715063","url":null,"abstract":"Business ethics is the set of practices and policies that companies use to guide them through decisions about finances, negotiations and deals, corporate social responsibility, and more. Without a strong set of ethics, a business can run afoul of the law and encounter financial pitfalls and moral dilemmas. The objective of this book is a practical, fair, balanced, and objective treatment of the role of ethics in the business performance of companies in competitive markets that demonstrates how ethics affects business culture, strategy, decision-making, and value creation, which then determine competitiveness and business viability. The universality of corruption and the prevalence of unethical conduct is the background from which the narrative describes how ethical issues enter all functional areas. The ethics’ effects on the complexity of decisions and challenges are examined and the questions of why bother with ethical business and whether businesses invite government regulation are answered. Next, a framework is developed to identify and trace links and influences of business ethics on strategic decisions, corporate culture, and decision-making. The effects of strategy and culture on key business success factors and their interdependence are reviewed along with those with competitive advantage elements. These assessments then form the basis of characterizing competitive advantage in the framework developed. Decision-making and strategy links with competitive advantage elements and the inter-competitive advantage element interactions are evaluated along with competitive advantage organizational effects. The uniqueness of this book is the creation of a method to identify and assess how ethics impacts business decisions and competitive advantage based on accepted economic tenants. It lays the plan for quantitative assessments of the impact of ethical behavior, and it is written from the perspective of a business economist. Other books deal with business ethics elements only; none explains how ethics’ effects permeate business sustainability. The main contribution of this book is demonstrating that ethics is a necessary factor for business sustainability. It provides insights to regulators at all government levels, counterbalances ethicist claims about business ethics, and points out how ethical business conduct affects the economy.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147898463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
