It determines the structure, function and dynamics of organisms through collective characterization and quantification of biological molecules. The diagnostic imaging modalities have peaked in their advancements, leading to escalated complexity and volume of database. This has ushered the foundation of a novel approach to imaging diagnosis called radiomics. Radiomics refers to the accentuation and procurement of ambiguous data from medical imaging and has been applied within oncology to enhance diagnosis and prognostication, aiding in clinical decision, with the aim of delivering precision medicine. The chief application of radiomics is in oncology to augment diagnosis and prognosis, thereby improving clinical decision. Consequently, the success rates for delivering precision medicine is higher as it facilitates the procurement and accentuation of ambiguous data from rradiographs. Radiologists as well as data and imaging scientists represent an integral part of the interdisciplinary workflow of radiomics. It involves a comprehensive process of step by step tumour segmentation, image pre-processing, feature extraction, analysis, model development, and validation. By this paramount potentiality, it serves as a definitive solution for both clinical and research purposes. This paper highlights the role of radiomics in defining, standardization, and cultivating vast databases accessible to clinicians. This will empower them to tap into every particular case, eventually creating a link among patients having comparable profiles for treatments or clinical trials all over the world.","PeriodicalId":379783,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Dental Panacea","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123950387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Infants with this condition usually present with airway obstruction and feeding difficulties. This in turn leads to low weight and nutritional deficiencies which might delay the surgical intervention for the same. This case report describes a one-month-old infant with Pierre Robin sequence presenting with feeding difficulty and nasal regurgitation due to a ‘U’ shaped cleft palate. Elastomeric impression followed by fabrication of feeding plate with auto-polymerizing resin was done. Additional ‘S-shaped’ retentive arms were provided from the intra-oral to extra-oral side wire to provide additional retention and to prevent injury to both the child and parent while feeding. Early insertion of a feeding plate helps to prevent nasal regurgitation, to gain weight, and to guide the growth of the mandible in a child with Pierre Robin Sequence.","PeriodicalId":379783,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Dental Panacea","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130589387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At times, multiple decayed teeth can occur simultaneously with a single-tooth anterior crossbite, which is a major functional concern to the dentist and esthetic concern to the parents during the developmental stage of a child. Hence, there is a need for an appliance that can cater to both conditions of space management and anterior crossbite correction concurrently. The following case series focuses on the time taken and the comfort of the patient and for the correction of crossbite using a Modified Nance palatal appliance. All three cases took an average of 1 week for crossbite correction and patients showed superior comfort and compliance.","PeriodicalId":379783,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Dental Panacea","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133795181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, maxillofacial prosthesis not only corrects the deformity but also boost the self-confidence so that the patient can live his/ her life to the fullest. The creation of prostheses is currently undergoing a revolution, crediting the new, cutting-edge technologies including 3D modelling, printing, and imaging. These innovative methods are replacing the manual, labour-intensive, and expensive traditional methods of producing prosthetics with faster, less expensive methods that enable the creation of patient-specific prostheses. Our research aim to provide an update on the digital workflow of fabricating a maxillofacial prosthesis, highlighting the data collecting techniques at hand for extraoral, intraoral, and complex maxillofacial abnormalities, as well as evaluating the software’s used for data processing and designing. Also as the demand for a digital approach to craniofacial rehabilitation increases, it may be seen that the work of software designers will be at demand to help create accessible and user-friendly modules similar to those used in dental laboratories. As the demand for a digital approach to craniofacial rehabilitation is increasing, it has been noticed that assistance from the software designer will be required in future to produce user-friendly and accessible modules comparable to those used in dentistry laboratories","PeriodicalId":379783,"journal":{"name":"The Journal of Dental Panacea","volume":"65 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129586614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
