AgNPs have shown significant promise in dentistry, exhibiting potent antimicrobial efficacy against various oral pathogens, bacteria, and biofilms. Studies have compared AgNPs with conventional antimicrobial agents, highlighting their bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects, especially at lower concentrations. Furthermore, AgNPs have demonstrated their potential in inhibiting biofilm formation, eradicating established biofilms, and enhancing the antimicrobial activity of dental materials, such as nanocomposites, acrylic resins, and adhesives. While AgNPs offer substantial benefits, their effectiveness may vary based on specific applications and comparisons with other antimicrobial agents. This case report discusses the clinical features, diagnosis and management and rehabilitation of patient of mucoepidermoid carcinoma of palate. A 32-year old female reported with the chief complain of painless swelling and ulceration on right side of hard palate since 6 months. Then proper clinical, radiological and histopathological investigations and analysis were done to come to diagnosis and based on the incisional biopsy report the diagnosis was confirmed to be mucoepidermoid carcinoma of intermediate grade. The evaluation of soft tissue morphology is an indispensable tool in clinical practice and in research and can be achieved with different approaches. : To correlate lip morphology, lip strain and interlabial gap in various skeletal malocclusions in dist solan population. 50 Pretreatment lateral cephalograms were included in the study. The sample was divided into 2 groups as group I(Skeletal Class I,N=25) and group II (Skeletal Class II ,N=25).Various angular and linear parameters were recorded to measure lip morphology, lip strain and interlabial gap. When linear parameters of both the groups (skeletal class I &skeletal Class II) were compared there were no significant result seen in UL-E (p=1.00), LL-E(p=0.45),UL-S(p=0.51),LL-S(p=0.36),UL-B(p=0.63),LL-B(p=0.44),LL-H(0.71),UL-T(p=0.58),LL-T(p=o.47). When lip strain, lip morphology and interlabial gap were correlated in Group I it was found that there were significant difference between the UL-E and SNB (p=0.02*) and in Group 2 there were significant differences between the Lip strain (LS-LI) & SNB (p=0.00*) UL-E and SNA (p=0.04*), UL-E and SNB(p=0.01*). When angular parameters between group I and group II were compared there were no significant differences between them. This case report presents the clinical and histopathological features of a patient with a telangiectatic granuloma in the lower right back region of the jaw. The patient presented with complaints of swelling, pain, and difficulty in swallowing. The lesion was associated with tobacco pouch keratosis and chronic periodontitis. The patient's medical and dental history, as well as the examination findings, including radiographic evaluation, are described. An excisional biopsy was performed, and the specimen was sent for histopathological analysis. The diagnosis was confirmed as telangiectatic granuloma based on the clinico-pathologic correlation. The patient was advised to discontinue tobacco use, received oral hygiene instructions, and underwent periodontal treatment. We report a 27 years old male patient undergoing orthodontic treatment for the forceful traction of impacted maxillary central incisors into the occlusion who presented with a fusion of the gingiva and lips in the maxillary anterior region obliterating the maxillary labial vestibule and entrapping the orthodontic retractors earlier placed. Vestibuloplasty was carried out using scalpel and electrocautery to regain the vestibular depth followed by exposure and traction of the impacted maxillary central incisors into occlusion. The patient achieved excellent results which was realised at one-year follow-up, by which time orthodontic treatment was also completed.
