Therefore, the search for the essence of hope is the objective of this paper. Reference is made to the theme of the open soul in Henri Bergson’s, Gabriel Marcel’s, and Jan Patočka’s works. Such a soul is not centred in itself; moreover, according to Marcel, hope and soul are intrinsically linked together. Hope opens people towards the future. The concept of hope in the biblical context is shown briefl y, according to which hope is in God (Ps 62:5), while God is coming to man. At the same time, biblical texts sketch a pathway to hope setting out from suff ering, through endurance and character (Rom 5:3–4). The paper stresses that hope takes root in dialogue and that a person is empowered to adopt hope as a gift.","PeriodicalId":37904,"journal":{"name":"Caritas et Veritas","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70004299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their constant inspiration for education lies, among other things, in their contribution to the issue of fi nding the essence of human nature. Aeschylus’ work is one of the key milestones in literature, but it is also an example of the formation of specifi c (non-philosophical) answers to the question of man and his essence. The aim of the analysis of the trilogy Oresteia is to present selected aspects of this thinking which refl ects and foreshadows problems in the philosophy of the 5th century BC. The study also focuses on the instrumental value of tragedy. Tragedy (not systematically, but more eff ectively and suggestively) represents one aspect of human nature – homo tragicus. Aeschylus’ answer to the question of human nature is also related to his emphasis on the importance of law and justice which should be the only ruler in the community.","PeriodicalId":37904,"journal":{"name":"Caritas et Veritas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70004799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This change concerns the introduction of Australian standards for patient admission to home hospice care. The aim of the fi rst phase of the research part was to map the current practice of admitting a patient to home hospice care, identify the needs of the team, and prepare the ground for the implementation of organisational change. Based on the obtained data, the team selected and agreed four standards for patient admission. These were implemented in practice in the next phase for a period of three months. The last phase consisted of a joint refl ection upon the implementation process. The presented article describes in detail all the partial phases from the point of view of practical experience. At the end, it presents recommendations from which can be used by other organisations when optimising the progress of work in home hospice care teams.","PeriodicalId":37904,"journal":{"name":"Caritas et Veritas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70004698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advantages and disadvantages of this alternative housing for the aging generation are discussed in the context of various theoretical backgrounds and practical approaches. The aim of the article is to off er a view of the advantages and disadvantages of this concept from the perspective of the inhabitants of these communities abroad. Nine semi-structured interviews were conducted with residents and one community housing manager in Austria, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. The interviews were evaluated with the help of the Atlas.ti 7 program. On the part of the participants, community housing for seniors is evaluated mostly positively; according to their statements, the negatives result from problems related to socialisation within the community. The fi ndings obtained during the interviews are in line with other previously conducted research. They fulfi l the postulates about the advantages of community housing for seniors, and they also confi rm the disadvantages already formulated in the literature. Considering all the verbalised advantages and disadvantages of community housing for the elderly in conversations, this type of housing can also be a welcome alternative for a certain part of the senior population in the Czech Republic.","PeriodicalId":37904,"journal":{"name":"Caritas et Veritas","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70004834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
