The proposed transmitter is based on a differentiator circuit with an inserted threshold voltage to enhance peaking and carrier sweep-out effects. Hoang, Sang-Gug Lee, Young-Jin Woo","doi":"10.1109/CCE.2014.6916722","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CCE.2014.6916722","url":null,"abstract":"In DC-DC converter at light load, discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode are usually used to improve efficiency instead of using low efficient continuous conduction mode (CCM) in a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control system. For these control modes in light load condition, the zero-current detector (ZCD) to prevent reverse current flowing back to the power source is essential. This paper presents a zero current detection method with enhanced time response of the freewheel switch operation. The proposed ZCD was simulated using a 0.18-μm CMOS process in a test system of PWM voltage mode type-III buck converter, with input voltage of 3.3V. The test system works in CCM at heavy load, PFM at light load, and DCM in a short transient of decision to change from CCM to PFM. The PWM switching frequency is 2MHz, and testing output voltage is 1.8V with load current from 20mA up to 300mA. The VIP is formulated using System Verilog with assertions, so that it can be used in a simulation-based as well as in formal-based verification methodology. The formal interval property intuitive industrial languages such as Interval Property Language (ITL) and System Verilog Assertion are used to formulate the property set. The Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) is an on-chip communications standard for designing highperformance embedded microcontrollers. The operations of based AHB checking (IPC) technique is used to formally verify that the operations of two AHB master controllers comply with the standard. The study focuses on a new internal VTh cancellation (IVC) technique which is a combination between conventional IVC circuit and proposed switches to improve power conversion efficiency (PCE) and voltage conversion efficiency (VCE). Proposed rectifier is designed using 0.13um CMOS technology for passive tags of high frequency (HF) applications. These elements are etched in a no-ground part, which is small compared to the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) size. The antenna has several resonant modes enabling three wide operating bands, which respectively cover the LTE700/GSM850/900, GSM1800/1900/UMTS, LTE2300/2500/2700 and LTE3400/3600 standards. A prototype whose size is suitable for mobile phones has been realized. There is a good agreement between simulation and measurement in term of return loss. Also in this publication, an analysis of the impact of this antenna on the performance of power amplifiers is conducted. It is followed by a practical solution of matching circuit. The lifecycle of experiments should be carefully designed and managed among users and operators so that tasks and responsibilities are well-defined for all experiment stages. The states of involved resources should also be appropriately managed to streamline the experiment lifecycle. In this paper, by considering these issues, we discuss the realization of lifecycle experiments over SDN (Software-Defined Networking)-enabled OF@TEIN (OpenFlow @ Trans-Eurasian Information Network). In order to partially automate the lifecycle experiments, we are working on the automated resource provisioning and experiment execution. An example of such UAN consisting of fixed and mobile underwater nodes, was recently developed and tested at sea. A star-shaped network topology was adopted, where wide area network (WAN) integration was ensured through an asymmetric underwater master node composed of an acoustic modem, for low-data-rate downlink from WAN to UAN, and a multiple receiver antenna for single-input-multiple-output (SIMO) high-priority high-data-rate uplink, from UAN to WAN. This paper focuses on the performance of the high-priority SIMO uplink combining multichannel geometry-adapted passive Time Reversal (pTR) and single Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) nomenclatureDFEDecision Feedback Equalizer. High data-rate and sustainable communications for mobile and fixed nodes were considered. Two experimental data sets were used: one from the UAN10 sea trial (Pianosa island, Italy, September 2010) for a moving source and UAN11 (Trondheim Fjord area, Norway, May 2011) for a fixed source. BPSK/QPSK signaling, data-rate upto 4000 bps and a source speed upto 0.5 m/s, were considered for carrier frequencies ranging from 5kHz to 25.6kHz. Temporal coherence is shown to be a key factor, determining the performance of pTR-based techniques.
