Actually, memorability can be valuable in different areas and several applications. In recent years, image memorability has received considerable interest in computer vision and machine learning communities. Different approaches have been proposed which have made a significant impact on memorability analysis performances. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to expose different methods and techniques used to predict and analyze image memorability. Therefore, we expose and compare datasets and evaluation metrics used for performance memorability estimation. Then, we discuss many challenges and opportunities for image memorability prediction improvement, which can provide some future guidelines.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117039497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The volume of data grows to very large volumes, in terms of the number of users covered by the base stations of this network. Some of the important limitations of cellular networks are the excessive production of carbon dioxide by base stations and the cost of installing enough base stations for good coverage. Our goal in this paper is threefold. Indeed, the cost of installing base stations must be minimized, CO2 emissions must be reduced and network coverage must be maximized. So we have a problem with three conflicting goals. We have modeled this problem as a multi-objective optimization problem. To resolve it, we propose a method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, experiments are performed on a data set. The results showed that our approach improves the coverage of cellular networks, reduces carbon dioxide production, and reduces the cost of base stations installed, simultaneously.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128218700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach is based on the singular value decomposition. More precisely, using the fuzzy T-S observer in explicit structure and the Parallel Distributed Compensator (PDC) control law, a new result to investigate the FDOFC problem for the considered class of discrete-time T-S implicit models (DTSIMs) is then proposed. The guarantee of the global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop augmented system is proved by using the Lyapunov theory and the conditions of asymptotic stability are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, an application based on rolling disc process is presented as an illustrative example to show the performance of the proposed dynamic controller design.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128319051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The U-shaped aperture is used to in-crease impedance matching and coupling level, while allowing dual-polarization operation at the same time. This antenna is composed of two substrates separated by air gap. The square radiating element is positioned beneath the upper substrate and is fed by two orthogonal feed lines located beneath the lower substrate. The electromagnetic waves are connected to the radiating element through two U-shaped apertures cut in the ground plane, located above the lower substrate. According to the simulation results, the antenna's gain and directivity are 6.89dB and 7.09dBi, respectively, with excellent isolation between the two ports and a high radiating efficiency of more than 90%. The suggested antenna is designed using RO4003 substrate with a thickness of 0.813 and a dielectric constant of 3.5. The antenna is modeled and simulated using Finite Integration Technique (FIT).","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123981868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a Machine learning algorithm for Avocado image segmentation based on quantum enhancement and Random forest. In order to show the performance of the proposed method in term of segmentation, which represents one of the most sensible computer vision technics to noise and low illumination images, a set of experimentations based on synthetic and real images devoted to agricultural applications (avocado fruit detection and localization) are done. The Segmentation accuracy (SA) and the mean intersection over Union (MIoU) metrics are adopted to evaluate its performance against other algorithms presented in the literature. The proposed method shows good results in terms of segmentation quality, sensibility to noise and low illumination conditions, outperforming the existing and widely used binarization methods.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128621706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kriging and radial basis function models are considered for modeling both performances and constrains. Penalty technique is considered for dealing with constraints. To show the efficiency of the proposed algorithms, obtained results are compared with the conventional equation-based particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm results. The studied mechanism, corresponding to an original configuration of the thermoelectric heat pump, includes thermocouples with channels in which water circulates in contact with both sides of the TEMs. The objective function is to regulate the temperature of the cold welds. In the first instance, a hot heat transfer fluid will flow through the thermopile at the hot welds, and then a cold heat transfer fluid will flow through the cold welds. The results obtained show that when the cold heat transfer fluid is added, better efficiency is obtained, and this is due to the remarkable temperature difference obtained.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116753015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current electronic nose (e-nose) chamber has design flaws, such as a big volume, an unwieldy construction, and so on. In this study, we aim to develop a gas chamber able to establish the good conditions of measurement by the sensor array, with consideration of the optimal shape of the gas flow and the positioning of the detectors, to acquire the measurements in a good state. The sensing chamber was designed using FreeCAD and simulated in ParaVIEW to characterize and determine the design capable to provide the optimum performance. When looking for a specific information, many researchers can't find all the information needed on the topic for which they are searching in the same academic search engine, which pushes them to search in each one separately. Therefore, we propose to exploit the task of aggregating search results from various sources in an academic domain. Exploiting the advantage of such systems may improve retrieval performance of academic search results by selecting the most appropriate vertical results according to the user's information need, and presenting them in a single page. Our proposed approach consists of exploiting BERT contextual embeddings in unsupervised fashion and taking advantage of their rich semantic features to improve the quality of the retrieved results. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time when aggregated search paradigm is investigated in an in academic environment using BERT embeddings. Experimental results show that by only using BERT algorithm as a core component in our system, has given excellent results for our task and helped us achieved our objective in this work. In addition, a comparison with other state-of-the-art language models such as ELMo, USE and XLNet was made. The findings showed that the best performance was obtained using the BERT language model, which proved that using BERT model in our academic aggregated search system is a good choice.","PeriodicalId":377115,"journal":{"name":"2022 2nd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115456402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
