The applied convergence-acceleration technique guaranties minimal computational effort. Due to the inherently stable circuit topology time-domain simulations can be conducted trouble-free with arbitrary active/passive non-linear loads. For a given frequency bandwidth the required model order can be estimated a priori. The presented model is validated in the frequency and time domain.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129568306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A full-wave simulation showed that the single and plural filters installed at anti-nodes provided efficient suppression. High suppression can be estimated from the relationship between the driving point impedance at the position where the filter was installed and the input impedance of the filter through analysis focusing on Z-parameters of the power bus. Finally, the suppressing effect could be obtained when the value obtained by adding 10 dB to the magnitude of the driving point impedance at the position where the filter was installed was higher than the input impedance of the filter. The results help in designing the lossy resonator filters.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121419349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the basis of circuit model theory and Bethe theory of small holes, we extended Yin's model to account for apertures of elliptical shapes. The hole is then treated as a transmission line with an intrinsic impedance depending on its polarizability. The model takes easily into account higher order resonant modes. For validation, a commercial software is employed and enclosures with different size and apertures are studied. The proposed model shows accurate results in good agreement with the full wave simulation ones.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123962041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are several groups around the world investigating methods to perform more direct SI traceable measurements of RF power (where RF is defined to range from 100s of MHz to THz). A measurement of radiation pressure offers the possibility for a power measurement traceable to the kilogram and to Planck's constant through the redefined SI. Towards this goal, we demonstrate the ability to measure the radiation pressure/force carried in a field at 2.45 GHz and 15 GHz using two different devices.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"131 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123040416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper the power-delay profile is used for the first time to study in high detail how a wave interacts with its environment in a reverberation chamber. This is done by tracking the wave, starting from its creation at the antenna reference plane with the antenna in multiple positions. Starting at the antenna port, three regimes are recognized: very-early-time, early - time and late-time. In the very -early - time the response is dictated by the antenna's behavior and placement affects only the duration of this regime. In the early-time period the wave starts interacting with the environment. Antenna positioning makes a clear difference during this period, and the moving-wall stirrer can easily be distinguished from non-moving parts. During late-time the expected exponential decay is observed. The transition point from early to late behavior is dependent on antenna placement in the room that was used. After chasing the wave traveling at light speed for a kilometer, it is finally caught when the chamber losses cause the power delay profile to decay into noise floor.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130820393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The averaged-per-unit-length parameters of this transmission line system are first derived for two typical cases, i.e. the reference conductor is inside or outside the TWP, respectively. The induced voltage sources for describing the field-to-wire coupling are determined analytically in closed form. The time-frequency analysis provided by the measurement data has shown that significant emissions may only occur for a few percent of the time and a piecewise stationary model of emissions may be most appropriate. In this paper, a sorting technique is applied to short time segments of the nonstationary time-domain data provided by the measurements. These short time segments are sorted into groups according to the characteristics of the emissions, i.e. different emission processes, with the assumption that the stochastic emissions is stationary within each group (process). The ensemble of time segments associated with each group may then be used to obtain the field-field correlations for each process. Results of the analysis give promising insights into how to characterize complex and time dependent systems.","PeriodicalId":376960,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC EUROPE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122871819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
