Abstract
Based on a volume-filament partial element equivalent circuit approach a modal broadband network representation for skin and proximity effect in parallel conductors with arbitrary geometry is proposed. The applied convergence-acceleration technique guaranties minimal computational effort. Due to the inherently stable circuit topology time-domain simulations can be conducted trouble-free with arbitrary active/passive non-linear loads. For a given frequency bandwidth the required model order can be estimated a priori. The presented model is validated in the frequency and time domain.
