Their roles are to ensure the availability of manufacturing resources needed to accomplish production tasks result from a demand forecast. In this paper, a fuzzy inference system(FI.9) in choosing alternative machines for integrated process planning and scheduling bf a job shop manufacturing system are proposed. Instead of choosing alternative machines randomly, machines are being selected based on the machines reliability. The mean time to failure (MTF) values are input in a fuzzy inference mechanism, which outputs the machine reliability. The machine is then being penalized based on the fuzzy output. The most reliable machine will have the higher priority to be chosen. In order to overcome the problem of un-utilization machines, sometimes faced by unreliable machine, the genetic algorithms have been used to balance the load for all the machines. Simulation study shows that the system can be used as an alternative way of choosing machines in integrated process planning and scheduling.","PeriodicalId":375056,"journal":{"name":"2004 International Conference on Intelligent Mechatronics and Automation, 2004. This projection filter combines the original image with its Iirst-order projection both in the spatial domain and in the frequency domain linearly. It has some interesting properties which keep the zero-frequency energy of both the whole image and its every row and column invariable. This projection filter can he extended to the -der projeetioa that keeps the whole energy invariable instead of the zero-frequency energy. In the MMF servo system, when the controller is designed without consideration of the friction, the dose-loop systems show steady-state tracking errors and the limit cycle response and static-slip phenomena. So low velocity nonlinear friction is the important barrier of the design of MMF system, which directly determines the positioning accuracy and the stability of MMF system. Therefore, how to efficiently handle the friction compensation becomes an important problem in the design of MMF system. A nonlinear robust control algorithm based on Lyapunov function is used to compensate the influences of nonlinear friction in the paper. The simulation and experimental results that based on the compensation algorithm show the MMF system has quick-response speed, high steady accuracy and strong robustness.","PeriodicalId":375056,"journal":{"name":"2004 International Conference on Intelligent Mechatronics and Automation, 2004. Previous work in this -area has focused on distributed power control for cellular systems with fixed channels and most of latest power control algorithms need several bits to be used for sending the power control command back to each user. In this study, we focus on a class of power control problems that the system link gains assumed to be time-varyhg and only one bit is sent back to each transmitter. We prove that the received SIR of each user falls within a certain specific range that is determined by an SIR target and a power control stepsize. The proposed scheme can be adopted in practical mobile communication systems.","PeriodicalId":375056,"journal":{"name":"2004 International Conference on Intelligent Mechatronics and Automation, 2004.
