A nano laboratory-a prototype nano manufacturing system based on nanorobotlic manipulation-is presented for enabling nanotube-based micro- and nanomechatronics, such as microhano sensors and actuators, bioapplications and nano-robotics applications. While various ways of vocal sound production have been actively studied so far, a mechanical construction of the vocal system is considered to advantageously realize natural vocalization with its fluid dynamics. Motors are employed for the manipulation of the mechanical system. The robot is able to adaptively learn the relations between motor control parameters and the produced vocal sounds using an auditory feedback with neural networks, by mimicking a human vocalization. This paper presents the construction of tge robot and its taking and singing performance, together with the adaptive control for the pitch and phoneme learning. For thesr years it has been increased that the demand for fine manipulation in bio cell surgeries and sometime it should be done automatically. This paper describes the insect based navigation €or the piezo based micro robots system to provide the automatic insemination and incubation processes. These small robots with several range sensors can communicate and navigate themselves with the simple control sequences. Recently, many scholars focus; on the problem of how to improve the accuracy of SFS by improving the algorithm of reconstruction. However, rare satisfied results of SFS by improving arithmetic were obtained. In this paper, a new idea is offered to improve the accuracy of SFS by referring to a more general illumination model, the Oren-Nayrtr model, which is available for image rendering field. Meanwhlile, the Oren-Nayar model is improved to satisfy the requirement of iterative approach and the component of specular reflection is added to satisfy the requirement of less rough or even smooth surface. Through taking the place of the traditional illumination model, the Lambert model, by an improved Oren-Nayar model, the accuracy of SFS is improved obviously. The fish-like microrobot is one of the micro and miniature devices, which is installed with sensing and actuating elements. This paper describes the new structure and motion mechanism of an underwater microrobot using ICPF actuator, and discusses the swimming possibility of the microrobot in water. Characteristic of the underwater microrobot is measured by changing the frequency and the amplitude of input voltage. The experimental results indicate that the swimming speed of proposed underwater micro robot can be controlled by changing the frequency of input voltage; the moving direction (upward or downward) can be controlled by changing the amplitude and the frequency of input voltage.","PeriodicalId":375056,"journal":{"name":"2004 International Conference on Intelligent Mechatronics and Automation, 2004. The closed-loop system is required to simultaneously satisfy four closed-loop performance specifications: car body acceleration, suspension deflection, tire dynamic load and control effort respectively. With a simple two-stage algorithm, the mechanical structure parameter, which is selected as the stiffness of the suspension spring, and the closed-loop controller of the suspension system, are determined with this CID method. This leads to a closed-loop suspension system wlhich simultaneously satisfies all four closed-loop performance specifications. Considering the characteristics of color microscopic images in micromanipulation imriging system and color information of color microscopic ima;ges, two wavelet transformation based methods in HSI color space and vector space for edge detection were proposed. Then, the interested area of the image is interpolated using cubic spline :and accurate subpixel edges are obtained based on the zero point of first-order derivatives. The methods are applied to images with simulated noise and real images. The experiment results show that the methods are effective for color microscopic images with various magnifications. It is manifested that the experiment results of the two methods are very similar.
