His works are popular with both professional critics and ordinary readers in the whole world. The present paper aims at finding the key characteristics of Pelevin’spoetics. Therefore, the author has decided to employ the notion of reconfiguration, which depicts the complexity of interrelations between the Russian writer’s novels. The conductedanalysis of one of the dominant aspects of this intertextual network — the motif of the autoteleology of language — has revealed a new universe of meanings.","PeriodicalId":373647,"journal":{"name":"Kultury Wschodniosłowiańskie - Oblicza i Dialog","volume":"236 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132671041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article aims to define the styling features as the art-techniqe in postmodern texts of Polish and Ukrainian writers. The specificity of styling them is connected with the appeal of authors to artistic and non-fiction genres as the sources of formal originality of their texts. Ukrainian and Polish literature show quantitative connection between the structural parts of the text as the manifestation of the impact of the beyond-subjective world of information systems on a literary work concept. Impersonality highlights the lackof creative writer’s invention to literary text composing and appears to create the narrative illusion of uniform electronic signals or stylization on a computer text. A text resembling music genres forms a specific rhythmic pattern of fragmented pieces through the use of graphical ways to display pauses. Graphic design and structuring of the text are included in its overall concept, which is driven by current trends, such as specific life of the postmodern man and the destruction of boundaries between different types of activities (information, literary and artistic performance). Styling as the “image technology” of postmodern literary text adjusts it to some readers' tastes and / or determines the originality of its formal concept to improve its “consumer” qualityin order to meet the demanding modern reader’s expectations. These examples represent only a part of the author's choices experimenting with the structure of the text and its design, which is rooted in our reality distorted by globalization processes.","PeriodicalId":373647,"journal":{"name":"Kultury Wschodniosłowiańskie - Oblicza i Dialog","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124610699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Warsaw melody we can see that love and social themes are bound together — the conflict is not between person, but a man and the country. A Polish woman is a symbol of higher culture, she wants to overcome fear of what happens tomorrow, that is induced by her WWII life history, and gains life experience due to herpossibility to analyze and summarize. Odessa! The first part deals withthe phenomenon of the City’s omnipresence in various works of art, along with factorsthat contributed to its prosperity in 19th century. The next part of the article is devotedto the movie’s composition that partially resembles a triptych, collage and musical variation devoted to specific space. Special attention was paid to the original soundtrack, the way of shooting urban landscapes and colors, which combined together contribute to the movies overall nostalgic atmosphere. In the following part, metaphors that underline the passage of time in the movie are enumerated and analyzed. Conclusions concerning Odessians' mental and spiritual exile as well as their vision of imaginary, idealized Odessa, that no longer exists are drawn in the last part.","PeriodicalId":373647,"journal":{"name":"Kultury Wschodniosłowiańskie - Oblicza i Dialog","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128984409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Showing the most substantial facts from their life and activity the author exhibits the real transformation, metamorphosis of their personalities, hearts and consciousnesses under the action of practice of the Jesus' Prayer or the prayer of the heart. The main aim of the article is — one can suppose — to underline the role of the Jesus' Prayer in changing people who systematically practicing it in their life, and in giving them the power to go over the stereotypes, myths and customs, even religious. The heart of the matter is emphasizing — in positive meaning — the real close union between the prayer andthe life and the relationship with neighbour. Professor Plekon stresses that “the personaland interior aspects of this prayer are never separated from liturgical prayer and ourlives”. Christians believe in salvation and resurrection of Jesus Christ and they practice the Jesus Prayer, but this prayer formula is not only devoid of life meaning formula but it is the method of changing the whole human mentality, in each everyday circumstances concerning family, marriage, work, life in monastic community, doing shopping, reading books, watching TV programs, raising children, writing the scientific articles, being in different social and cultural situations, generally — it changes all, the vision of life and the universe.","PeriodicalId":373647,"journal":{"name":"Kultury Wschodniosłowiańskie - Oblicza i Dialog","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129792657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
