Under normal mode of operation, the high side and low side switches of the bridge converters conduct on alternate half cycles. During the commutation if the conduction states overlap the source will be short circuited, destroying the switches. A switching and a linear circuit based schemes have discussed and compared for their relative advantages and disadvantages. The offshore wind farms have also been continuing its growth rapidly due to much better wind conditions like onshore wind farms. The studied system here is a variable speed wind generation system based on Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). In this topology, stator side converter and rotor side converter is used to implement the DFIG control to achieve wind power conversion. Here, a maximum power control strategy is incorporated with the DFIG, whereby the produced power serves as the active power reference for the DFIG. Stator flux oriented vector control is applied to decouple the control of active and reactive power generated by the DFIG based wind turbine. A DC/DC boost converter is used for DFIG system to DC grid connection. This system represents transferring offshore wind power to the terrestrial ac grid through the High Voltage DC (HVDC) network. Since then black outs of power systems have become common. In an interconnected system, the loss of generation in one area can be replaced by generation from other areas. Thus, several systems interconnected can survive contingencies that the individual systems could not. Thus one benefit of interconnected power systems is the potential for increased reliability. EEG from MCI and control subjects are recorded under resting eyes closed (EC) condition. Recurrence rate of RQA and CRQA are calculated for the signals from both groups. RQA method quantifies the regularity/complexity signals and CRQA method quantifies the similarities between the two signals. The CRQA analysis of EEG is carried out for signals between the channels from different lobes. These two measures are combined in a feature space. Microgrid-connected power converters can be grouped into three categories: grid-forming, grid-feeding, and grid-supporting. In this paper a four switch three phase (b-4) topology for the grid connected application in an effort to reduce the cost of the inverter is investigated. This topology warrants higher voltage ratings of the semiconductor devices used and the dc-link split capacitors used with respect to a conventional six switch three phase b-6 topology inverter for a specific set of grid voltages. In this paper, application of four power semiconductor switch based three phase inverter is proposed for renewable energy based three phase micro grid interconnection. The b-4 of three phase inverter topology is studied to make the commercial micro grid system to be cost effective and hardware optimized. Switching of four switches is controlled by a simple Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation is used to control the switching of the four switches. Main advantage of this converter is that it needs only four switches. The presence of noise halo or rare patch effect in non local means denoised image occurs as a result of large variance between pixel values near the edges. The development of lands in rural areas affects the installation of new generating stations. The effective usage of solar energy helps to reduce the demand of electricity in rural areas. The rooftops are used for the generation of solar energy and it is of limited area. In such cases a three layer solar panel arrangement is proposed. It can also used in balconies of apartment to catch solar radiation. By this arrangement, the effective utilization of space can be done. The customized design reduce the cell temperature and shading issues. Proposed model is a grid connected hybrid system consisting of photovoltaic (PV) cells and fuel cells. Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is a device used to protect the system against sudden changes in voltage. Voltage sag/swell introduced in the system can be compensated using DVR as it injects required amount of compensating voltage. Models for each component are developed and combined to form the hybrid system using MATLAB/Simulink and waveforms are studied. Then control in voltage is analysed using proposed DVR control strategy. Different controllers used for the analysis are PID controller and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC). A non-linear multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) marine boiler model is used for the work. Performance comparison of the system with PID and fuzzy logic controller is also made.
