The objective of this work was to evaluate the expansion areas, especially in the state of Goiás, in order to contribute to the understanding of sugarcane agribusiness. In the methodology used, data were obtained from IBGE and from ÚNICA and other sources, from 1980 to 2020. The results showed that in the Cerrado, especially in the states of Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, there has been an expansion of sugarcane areas since the end of the last century, but that it was optimized in the mid-2000s. These are located predominantly in the southern region of Goiás, particularly in the southwest micro regions; Quirinópolis, Meia Ponte and Vale do Rio dos Bois. One fact to highlight is that the expansion occurs preferably in areas of grain cultivation and supplementary pasture, in fertile soils and with the use of technology.","PeriodicalId":37182,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics and Business Administration","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81194645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In terms of objectives, the research method is classified as descriptive. As for the procedures, a survey was carried out, and the approach to the problem is quantitative. Data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire. The research was based on the perception of 600 professors. The results highlight that the constructs of knowledge acquisition and transformation, organizational learning culture, and affective organizational commitment are significant and positive antecedents that influence learning at an organizational level. Additionally, the correlation between organizational learning and performance is significant and positive. We emphasize the elaboration of the proposed integrated model that considered the significant and positive correlations between organizational learning culture and team cohesion; team cohesion and affective organizational commitment; team cohesion and knowledge acquisition and transformation; and knowledge acquisition and transformation and organizational learning culture; organizational learning culture and affective organizational commitment; knowledge acquisition and transformation and affective organizational commitment. We concluded that the validation of the proposed integrated model is a contribution of research to science and social and administrative practice. However, the research substantiates aspects of the antecedents and consequences of organizational learning with contributions to managers and meets academic and social aspirations. Other variables could be tested, and other groups of respondents could be investigated.","PeriodicalId":37182,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics and Business Administration","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91013449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cost of six systems of agronomic practices using fixed or variable rates for soil amendment, fertilizer, and defensive applications and assess the profitability of these systems at three scales of sugarcane production. We then describe the data sample related to the 2019–2020 harvest season and collected from fifty-five sugarcane producers in the central-south region of Brazil. Thereafter, using a quantitative approach, a cost analysis was performed, and the cumulative frequency of the net revenue for the three scales of production (small, medium, and large), was calculated using a Monte Carlo simulation. The cost analysis indicated that fertilizer had the highest cost considering the agronomic practices adopted at the three scales of production analyzed. The cumulative frequency analysis results from the Monte Carlo simulation showed the highest net revenue per hectare for medium sugarcane producers. In addition, the presence of economies of scale was not confirmed because the lowest cost was found in small-scale sugarcane producers and the highest net revenue was obtained by medium-scale sugarcane producers.","PeriodicalId":37182,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics and Business Administration","volume":"67 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79042729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
