The degree of irregularity in the alignment of the incisors was measured every 2 weeks using Little's irregularity index, and this was done at different time points throughout the study: before treatment (T0), after 2 weeks (T1), after 4 weeks (T2), after 6 weeks (T3), after 8 weeks (T4).\u0000RESULTS: A total of 87 patients with anterior mild crowding in the lower dental arch were initially assessed for eligibility. Out of these, 64 patients met the inclusion criteria. Eventually, 36 participants were assigned to receive the treatment. Accordingly, the data from 36 patients were analyzed statistically. There was no significant difference when comparing the two groups at T0, T1, T3, and T4. However, the difference was significant at T2 (p = 0.037). The differences were statistically significant at all time periods within each group (P < 0.001).\u0000CONCLUSION: The use of a modified aligner appliance with nickel-titanium coils effectively treats lower incisors crowding, but it does not accelerate the alignment process compared to the traditional fixed orthodontic appliance.\u0000\u0000

Solubility was evaluated by the percentage of material mass loss over 24 h and one week. The alkalinity was measured after each evaluation period using a pH meter. Other specimens were digitally radiographed on a size 2 sensor plate along with an aluminum step wedge to analyze the radiopacity by the Image J software. Finally, crown discoloration was assessed after applying the tested materials in the pulp chamber of sound human premolars using spectrophotometer. All data were statistically analyzed. \u0000Results: Compared to MTA, both materials had significantly higher solubility and lower radiopacity (P<0.05). The alkalinity of PMIN was higher than that of MTA and PNE. Unlike PMIN, PNE and MTA caused crown discoloration. \u0000Conclusions: PMIN exhibits promising results related to high alkalinity and adequate color stability but it needs modifications for radiopacity and solubility.

Corrosion of the implant surface can release metallic particles or ions into surrounding tissue. The metallic constituents like titanium in human blood serum have not been fully studied. The study compares titanium serum levels before and after dental implant placement and compares levels in patients with healthy implants and those with per-implantitis.\u0000Methods: The study comprised 2groups of Group 1 patient observing implant surgery and group 2 patients with diagnosed peri-implantitis. Each group comprised of 60 patients. Serum titanium level was measured from blood obtained from Group 1 at three different intervals (one month prior to implant surgery, 4th and 8th month after successful loading) and from Group 2 during the course of peri-implantitis by inductively coupled plasma–mass spectroscopy. The statistical analysis was done for the obtained data.\u0000Results: Analysis showed a raised level of serum titanium at 4th month of post implant placement (2.39 mg/dl) and in patient with peri-implantitis(2.94 mg/dl) and both levels are significantly differ (ANOVA test) from pre-surgical estimation of serum titanium level (1.79 mg/dl).\u0000Conclusions: Understanding the correlation between titanium corrosion and peri-implantitis is vital for enhancing the long-term success and safety of dental implants. Additional research is required to investigate these links and potential strategies to protect the well-being of implant patients.

The carcinogenic DMBA was only applied to the control group (g1 = 20 hamsters) by topical painting in the buccal pouch, as for the experimental group (g2 = 20 hamsters) curcumin was administered orally (80 mgkg) concurrently with the DMBA. The animals were sacrificed at consecutive periods (after 2, 6, 10 and 14 weeks), then the histopathological changes in the buccal pouches were studied by H&E staining, and the VEGF expression during the previous sacrifice periods was studied. The Kruskal–Wallis test was used to study the significance of differences in VEGF expression between the two groups at the level of confidence 95%. \u0000RESULTS: P-value = 0.116>0.05 - 0.005<0.05 - 0.007<0.05 - 0.006<0.05, in 2, 6, 10 and 14 weeks respectively. The files were evaluated for cyclic fatigue resistance using a modified custom-made static model with 45°and 60° angles having a radius of 3mm and a diameter of 1.5 mm. Each file was rotated in a continuous rotation motion at 300 rpm with 1.2 N.cm torque for TS1, 300 rpm with 2.5 N.cm torque for TS2, and Edge file X7 was used at 300 rpm and 3 N.cm. Until it fractured. The time it took to separate the files was noted. Each file's number of cycles to failure was computed. A Kolmogorov-Smirnova normality test was done for all groups, and a two-way ANOVA was used to statistically examine the data. Results: The ranking of the groups from the highest to the lowest NCF was as follows: EdgeFile 4% 45 degrees (6594.00), EdgeFile 6% 45 degrees (6317.90), EdgeFile 4% 60 degrees (5682.00), EdgeFile 6% 60 degrees (2142.00), 2Shape 4% 45 degrees (2517.00), 2Shape 4% 60 degrees (535.90), 2Shape 6% 45 degrees (474.50), and 2Shape 6% 60 degrees (213.00). Conclusions: Edge File X7 showed better results than the 2Shape system. EdgeFile X7 4% at 45 degrees showed the highest NCF. The 2Shape system 6% at 60 degree that showed lowest NCF. As the canal curvature increased the NCF decreased.
