Our current digital society faces challenges as preparing our students for an uncertain and changing environment. Learning systems based on technology, adapted to the different learning needs, learning styles and learning rhythms, and personalized for our learners, could be a solution to this problem. It is what is called Smart Learning. The contributions to this track cover aspects such as the orchestration of Smart Learning Environments with the support of learning analytics and the Internet of Things, the estimation of the difficulty of learning activities, the use of decision support tools to make systematic searches, or one experience of gamification. In order to medical professionals can properly use this technique, they need training and education. One of the ways to train and teach professionals is through simulators, because it is a safe and unlimited technique that makes the students' learning tasks much easier. In this paper is presented a screen-based computer simulator that will allow professionals to receive an autonomous training in the technique of ultrasound-guided Spasticity treatment. It shows that the number of digital book readers is only at 27.2% (vs 65.8% who read paper books). Although e-readers are the most specialised devices to read books, less than 10% of people choose them to do so, preferring to sit in front of a computer (49.6%), or to do it in a tablet (32.8%) or a mobile phone (20.2%). When it comes to obtaining digital books, only one third mentions buying them online as an option, whereas most respondents mention file-sharing websites and friends as their sources. A survey was developed with 207 university students from 42 universities (Chinese and Spanish) who voluntary responds to a questionnaire. A pilot study was performed in order to test the correspondence validity of the two versions (Chinese and Spanish) of the same questionnaire. The results show that watching subtitled Spanish films and series has been preferred by the respondents and they do it frequently. In addition, they take it as an effective way to learn Spanish. Likewise, the results indicate that the respondents are not satisfied with the current situation of the film and television market with subtitling neither in China nor Spain. Even in non data-oriented cases, analysts and other stakeholders need to make decisions without being aware of the level of uncertainty associated to the data being transformed by the computational tools used to enable the kind of novel work of humanists pursued within DH. We examine in this paper the literature that have characterized the types and sources of uncertainty in other fields, with the intent of establishing a foundation upon which build novel computational tools supporting the decision-making under uncertainty processes that DH is currently facing. These systems allow monitoring programmers activity working in a project. Thus, Version Control Systems are also used by educational institutions. The aim of this work is to demonstrate that the academic success of students may be predicted by monitoring their interaction with a Version Control System. In order to do so, we have built a Machine Learning model to predict student results in a specific practical assignment of the Ampliatión de Sistemas Operativos subject, from the second course of the degree in Computer Science of the University of León, through their interaction with a Git repository. To build the model, several classifiers and predictors have been evaluated. In order to do so, we have developed Model Evaluator (MoEv), a tool to evaluate different Machine Learning models in order to get the most suitable for a specific problem. Prior to the model development, a feature selection of the input data is done. The resulting model has been trained using results from 2016--2017 course and later validated using results from 2017--2018 course. Based on this purpose, researchers employed a mixed methods research, a combine of qualitative and quantitative methodology. 153 students of the last year of the Degree in Primary Education composed the population of the study. A total of 104 learners composed the quantitative sample and 57 participants the qualitative one. A questionnaire divided into three parts: socio-demographic details, Digital Competence, and Technology & Inclusive Practices was the instrument used to collect quantitative data whereas individual semi-structured interviews were used to collect the qualitative ones. The literature review and the finding of the research suggested the effectiveness of technology to design and implement inclusive practices, to adapt the teaching-learning process to pupils and contribute not only to the acquisition of different contents but also to stimulate learners' concentration on them. Unlike traditional video recordings, which usually provide a very restrictive perspective of an object, person or environment, 360° videos provide users with full spherical views. In this paper, the authors share their recent experience with the design and implementation of a 360° video application. The application provides foreign language learners with an immersive learning environment that allows them to interact with the environment and its content, while practicing, at the same time, different language skills. This article is focused on an innovative teaching methodology developed at the School of Engineering of University of Cádiz (UCA), which helps to solve these problems contextualizing theoretical concepts from real engineering problems and projects.
