In this work, an alternative redundant arithmetic based fused multiply-accumulate (MAC) unit is designed especially suitable for 6-input look-up-table (LUT) based FPGAs. By employing only (6, 3) counters in the partial product reduction and accumulate operations, least amount of logic depth is provided which results as high performance without any pipeline requirement in the system. The proposed MAC unit has 16×16 input with sign extended 40-bit output. The MAC unit is compared to conventional redundant carry-save and various standard MAC architectures. A single VDTA and two capacitors are used to implement the designed frequency agile filter. The MOS capacitor technique is used instead of conventional capacitors to achieve high operating frequencies. The agility of the designed filter is implemented by selecting different size MOS capacitor. The performance parameters of the VDTA and agile filter structure are summarized. The suitability of the filter for different applications are given. On the other hand, the advent of control techniques and increased computation power of CPUs allow implementation of complex controllers using optimization techniques to provide higher efficiency and economic productivity. Model predictive control refers to a wide range of optimization-based control methods applying explicit models to predict its prospective use. These methods of control compute control signal by minimizing the cost function so that the process output becomes very close to the optimal path. In this study, squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) is used and its rotor speed is controlled with Genetic Proportional-Integral (GPI) method. Determination of PI coefficients providing SCIG to operate reference rotor speed promptly is obtained with Genetic Algorithm (GA) known as an optimization method. In addition, sensorless control of rotor speed is carried out with field oriented control (FOC). To do this purpose, the transfer function of rotor speed control of induction machine is created and employed in simulation model. Used in this control, PI coefficients, firstly, are obtained with a classical method called Ziegler-Nichols Method (ZNM) and then is obtained with GA. Wind turbine (WT) model created with Matlab/Simulink are used to operate the system simulation for these different methods which determine the PI coefficients. The system simulation of the results for ZNM and GA are compared. For this aim, a feedback control system with an integer order plant and a fractional order PID controller are studied. The real and imaginary parts of the closed loop transfer function are obtained which depend on the parameters Kp, Ki, Kd, λ and μ of fractional order PID controller and real and imaginary parts of the plant. Then the time domain responses of the closed loop control system with fractional order PID controller are plotted by using Inverse Fourier Transform Method (IFTM) or Fourier Series Method (FSM). Modeling is first step to design compensator circuits for a closed loop system. Computer devices were only able to find dc operating point and to produce diagram boot for circuits with linear elements. Power converters involve diodes and switches and since these elements are non-linear, it is impossible to access dc operating point and diagram boot in such converters. This is while temporal responses can also be simulated. In this article we used current signal graph and Maison operation formula to obtain small signaling model, output control transfer functions (switching), output to input and diagram boot of Luo self boosting converter. In this paper, a new cascaded high step-up DC-DC-AC converter based on SEPIC converter is proposed for partially shaded multi-string PV panels. To solve the challenge of partially shaded in PV system, a SEPIC dc-dc converter is connected for each string and the duty cycle of the each SEPIC converter is controlled to extract maximum power from each string using Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm. It increases the total extracted power from PV panel substantially. The proposed DC-AC converter can generate a large number of levels at output to reduce total harmonic distortion. This converter uses the least number of components such as IGBTs, drivers, capacitors and anti-parallel diodes which is an important advantage. As active building blocks the current follower transconductance amplifiers (CFTAs) are used. Using the signal flow graph approach, the initial solution using nine active elements is further optimized to a more simple topology employing only six active elements and five capacitors. For achieving synchronization between two systems, a proportional controller has been designed by using active control method. Efficiency of the controller designed has been tested using modified Mikhailov stability criterion and its appropriate gain parameter has been selected.
