Melodia","doi":"10.1109/AEIT.2015.7415284","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/AEIT.2015.7415284","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents the results of the experimental EMC characterization of a new medium/low voltage (MV/LV) secondary substation, which was developed in the framework of the research project \"NEW CAB ELARC\". It has two MV/LV transformers, with total rated power of 1000 kVA. To perform the experimental characterization, firstly an analysis was performed of the Italian and European standards recommendations. Different approaches were highlighted and the most appropriate procedures were identified for the measurement of the magnetic fields emissions, at power systems frequency (50 Hz) in steady-state conditions. A dedicated test lab was set up for the secondary substation characterization. Safety levels in the Community railway system are generally high, in particular compared to road transport. However, it is necessary to very least maintain safety during the liberalization process and, in line with technical and scientific progress, to further improve it, when reasonably practicable, taking into account the competitiveness of the rail transport mode. The results achieved with this study have the purpose of providing to mobile and broadcast operators useful information about the impact of LTE services when they are operating at the 800 MHz frequency band. Measurements have been conducted in the Istituto Superiore delle Comunicazioni e delle Tecnologie dell'Informazione (ISCTI) laboratory of MiSE (Ministry of Economic Development) considering different experimental set-ups. The aim of the model is the efficiency and energy optimization of railway systems. A particular attention has been paid to the modularity of the proposed approach and to the possibility of real time implementation on different application targets. The proposed modeling approach reaches a good compromise between the capability of the model to reproduce the behavior of the simulated physical systems and the simplification needed to make the model more general and suitable to represent different technological solutions. In this framework we consider separate states for PQRS and an amplitude-free state model for T-wave. There are some theoretical advantages that EKS3 has over other frameworks recently introduced with the same aims (e.g., EKS6-4obs, Akhbari et al., 2014 and EKS25-4obs, Akhbari et al., 2013). For instance, no longer depending directly on the amplitude of the Gaussian kernel, it is able to model the nuances in the T-waves, even when small or abrupt changes happen in the signal. Moreover, it reduces the nonlinearity of the model and it uses only three states, resulting in a significant decrease in complexity. We compared the proposed method with EKS6-4obs and EKS25-4obs using data from the 2008 Physionet TWA challenge dataset. A key issue is the validation of the control structure which requires a real-time simulation of the electric power system that is fairly accurate and computationally-efficient, together with tools for data exchange that allow a reliable communication with all the control devices. In this paper, the components and the architecture of a laboratory test facility for the validation of control systems is presented, which is based on a real time digital simulator of the electric industrial plants. Specific details are given concerning the communication structure needed for data exchange between the real-time simulator and the control system. Skyrmions can behave as static objects, being shifted in a racetrack memory or as dynamical solitons, giving rise to topological droplets.
