Capacitor voltage unbalance affects not only the average output voltage of the inverter, but also its performance. In fact, the inverter performance depends on the fluctuating DC-link voltage components rather than on the average DC-link voltage. After a brief analysis of the voltage fluctuation phenomena resulting from fault tolerant configuration and their effect on load current unbalance, the Authors consider different compensating preventive or repressive strategies in different application scenarios. These strategies can operate both in open and closed loop control. The paper highlights their advantages, drawbacks and analyzes their different behavior.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115106407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal of this study is to investigate whether the improved model is able to generalize the material behavior correctly when minor loops are involved. Two non-linear optimization techniques are used for parameters identification: a hybrid algorithm based on Genetic Algorithm (GA), Trust-Region-Reflective (TRR) and Levemberg-Marquardt (LM), and a novel continuous technique called Continuous Flock of Starlings Optimization (CFSO). Hysteresis loops used as reference were generated with the Preisach model, and the analysis is performed on a wide set of virtual materials and excitation waveforms.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126700400","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each generation unit is equipped with a Power Electronics Interface. In the considered formulation, the droop control parameters are considered as variables to be adjusted by a higher control level, while the frequency is kept in rated bounds. Another typical constraint for OPF formulation, the max ampacity of each line, is also considered. Two case studies with different dimensions and electrical features have been considered and the obtained results show the efficiency of the proposed approach that can be straightforward extended to unbalanced systems.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130167039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This issue requires a discussion about the current dispatching regulation, giving distributed storage systems and qualified electricity consumption the opportunity to provide ancillary services to the distribution grid. In this work, a new dispatching strategy for the integration of active-demand and distributed storage in the Italian electricity market is presented. The strategy is focused on a distribution Smart Grid (SG), where customers can indirectly participate to the Day-Ahead (DA) and the Ancillary Services Market (ASM) through a load aggregator, able to manage the consumers' flexible consumption through Direct Load Control (DLC). The dispatching strategy is described both in the architectural framework and in the functional aspects. The proposed dispatching strategy has been designed in order to fit the current Italian electricity market, giving the opportunity to increase the electricity market flexibility, ensuring a reduction of electricity zonal prices and contributing to the benefit of all the players involved.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133871412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system was developed and conceived in order to guarantee simple installation, use and service, obtaining a product that can be easily industrialized and put into the market with limited costs. The field of application of such an electrical generation system is addressed towards domestic or at the most toward condominium applications concerning moreover the opportunity of working in addition to combined photovoltaic and solar-thermal systems to enhance the renewable energy generation at house level (DoS). The proposed system has its hot spot in the blades shape, in the wind flux canalization system and in the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) optimized for this specific purpose. In fact with the proposed system intends to search the best aerodynamic profile and electrical generator to ensure the slightest encumbrance and the lowest weight. For this purpose the traditional and classical tangential wind turbine design, equipped with large blades, is overturned in favour of the use of numerous little blades. However, how such a brain dynamics is further modulated by emotional valence (pleasantness /unpleasantness), considering also different arousing levels, i.e., the intensity of the emotional stimuli, is still unknown. To this extent, we here study Electroencephalographic (EEG) oscillatory dynamics in healthy subjects during emotional visual elicitation. Twenty-two healthy volunteers were elicited through affective pictures gathered from the International Affective Picture System (IAPS). The experimental protocol foresaw 110 images associated to 4 increasing arousing levels, each of which included two valence levels: pleasant and unpleasant. EEG spectral analysis revealed no significant changes, between the two valence levels, during the lower and higher arousing elicitation at all considered bands, 6, a, ft, and 7. On the other hand, valence changes in the intermediate arousing sessions, in the 6, ft and 7 bands, were associated to changes in the prefrontal and parietal regions.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130897888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are used for many purposes beyond the simple calls and messaging. Presently, industries are focusing on smartphone-devices integration. As a matter of fact, car-smartphone integration is an ever increasing field, even though the car equipments are still used as phone accessories. Our goal is enhancing the user's experience by extending the concept of smartphone interface. We propose a new method where the device itself becomes their new User Equipment (UE) instead of being simply a smartphone interface. Our idea is to transfer all the user profile from the smartphone to the device. In this way, it is possible to use different devices each one having specific characteristics. We are convinced that this paves the way to many new possibilities in term of services. In this paper we propose a method of transferring temporarily the references to the user's identity carried in a Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM), from a UE to another one. This is possible by leveraging current interfaces between elements of the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and by exchanging new messages.","PeriodicalId":368119,"journal":{"name":"2015 AEIT International Annual Conference (AEIT)","volume":"157 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120922238","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
