The difference between adjacent frames, which is called motion component, indicates the motion of video, and is not obviously affected by video compression. So motion component was used to embed secret bits for increasing the capability of resisting video compression. Motion component was firstly calculated on a frame by frame basis, and then it was two-level wavelet decomposed, and the secret bits were embedded into wavelet coefficients. For the purpose of little degrading video quality, the secret bits were only embedded into low frequency coefficients that within the region which has large moving speed. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm not only can keep a good visual and statistical imperceptibility, but also has a considerable embedding capacity. Moreover, the algorithm has a good flexibility to MPEG encoding. Even after MPEG encoding, the secret bits can be extracted with a high accuracy.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"24 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131407816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this technique, extracting vein structures is a key procedure. For conventional algorithm, it is necessary to use high-quality images, which demand high-priced collection devices. That is because vein pattern images usually have low contrast, high-quality images are proper for segment. In our research, an extracting method for low-quality image is presented. The proposed method makes using low-cost devices possible. The results show that we could extract the vein networks as successfully as using high-quality images. In this paper, the principle of vein imaging is discussed, a new method to acquire vein images, which could enhance the contrast, is proposed, and the algorithm of extracting the vein pattern from low quality images is put forward. Our innovations are designing a new method to obtain good contrast vein images and proposing a novel denoising algorithm.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132750747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each bin of the histogram is treated as a feature and used as the basic building element of the cascade classifier. The system keeps both the discriminative power of HOG features for human detection and the real-time property of Viola's face detection framework. Experiments on Daimler Chrysler pedestrian benchmark data set and INRIA human database demonstrate that this framework is more powerful than Viola's object detection framework on human detection.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133488525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we design an integrated algorithm of locating horizontal text based on corner point detection and color clustering. First, we get candidate text regions by using the method based on corner point detection, and then identify candidate text regions and refine the bounding boxes by color clustering. Both the precision and recall rate of the new localization method are improved, and the processing time of the new method is less. On the aspect of locating accuracy, the new method gives tighter bounding boxes. We finally enhance the quality of the detected text region by multi-frame averaging and local thresholding. Our method can handle multi-language video text with complex background including a great range of font sizes and styles. The results after above steps can be directly processed by OCR system.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134054570","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the performance on impulsive noise is poor because the noised image is far away from assumption of piecewise smooth. The challenge is how to handle the discontinuities and at the same time remove the impulsive noise. Median-based approaches are inadequate, because at high noise levels they induce nonlinear distortion that hampers the denoising process. Here an improved nonlocal diffusion method based on fuzzy metric is proposed. The experiments results indicate that the new method is suitable for impulsive noise.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132289642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though the composition of these pixels for different classes can be estimated with pixel un-mixing model, the output provides no indication of how such classes are distributed spatially within these pixels. Sub-pixel mapping is a technique designed to obtain the spatial distribution of these classes in these pixels with information contained in mixed pixels. In this paper, the work introduces a sub- pixel mapping algorithm exploiting spatial dependence. The spatial arrangement of the different class fractions in surrounding pixels is used to find the location of the sub-pixels inside the central pixel. The sub-pixel mapping algorithm is intended to be applied to fraction images of a high spatial resolution, a regularized super-resolution image reconstruction method can be proposed to solve the problem called the Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) formulation, which based on the assumption of spatial dependence and the application of the soft classification result. With the upscale factor the proposed algorithm was tested on both artificial text image and real TM image, the result shows that it is a simple and efficient method to solve the sub-pixel mapping problem.","PeriodicalId":367106,"journal":{"name":"Fourth International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG 2007)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114836961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
