How to use the latest technology and information technology to strengthen protection of this non-material cultural heritage and its cultural existence style, which is currently the focus of our research group. We find out the most basic element symbols of paper-cut from large quantities of images, and build the paper-cut basic elements database, the paper-cut commonly used symbols database, the paper-cut images database, lay a solid foundation for innovative forms & content of paper-cut. Turbo-code-based Wyner-Ziv codec provides a practical solution to lossy DVC schemes. It is able to provide good Rate distortion (DR) performance while shift complexity burden from encoder to decoder. In this paper, we proposed a pixel domain DVC system based on punctured turbo codes. The iterative decoding of turbo codes based on Maximum A Posterior (MAP) for DVC case is elaborated. Virtual channel model estimation is introduced to compute the a priori probabilities to be input to the turbo decoder. The experimental results presents significant gains compared to traditional intraframe coding paradigm. The methods of detection mainly focus on the identification of skin region. To overcome the disadvantages of traditional algorithms, in this paper, we propose a skin model based on the combination of YIQ, YUV, and HSV. In the step of the pre-dealing, we use white balance algorithm to achieve better skin area. Then, texture model based on Gray Level Co-Matrix (GLCM) and geometric structure of human beings are used to decrease the disruptions of the background region similar with the skin area. The features which extracted from the last images dealt by color and texture model are input into Support Vector Machines (SVM), through which the pornographic images and assorted control images are classified successfully. An experiment using 400 pornographic images and 400 assorted control images is carried out. The dynamic cast shadows and reflection images are ever-present fake objects in dynamic object segmentation, and they deteriorate the segmentation quality seriously. This paper presents a technique for cast shadow and reflection image suppressing of dynamic objects segmentation in videos. This technique is based on dynamic edge features and kernel density estimation. Unlike the classic kernel density estimation model which can only suppress cast shadows in color videos, this model can also suppress them in intensity videos, and with normal conditions it can suppress reflection images effectively. Although this technique introduces a little drawback of true object segmentation quality, its ability of fake objects suppressing is remarkable. Quantum superposition principle is used to construct noise model in wavelet domain. We consider that signal is quasi quantum system. Every wavelet coefficient belongs to a superposition state. We don 't know whether it belongs signal or noise until we measure it. Unlike hard threshold algorithm quantum threshold algorithm hasn't a certain threshold. The probability that a wavelet coefficient belongs to signal or noise is decided by a distribution function. Finally, several experiments are made to compare the proposed method with conventional hard threshold algorithm. The existed work of compressed-domain moving object extraction in the literature usually can meet the requirement of real-time performance. However, the accuracy of extracted objects is too coarse. The reason is that the information utilized in the compressed-domain extraction process is not abundant and noisy. In order to solve this problem, a novel moving object extraction scheme with high accuracy for MPEG stream is proposed. Firstly, the contour-feature and motion vector based projection are fused to extract the coarse object in an efficient way. Second, the blocks in I frame are partially decoded to improve the segmentation accuracy. The innovation lies in a threshold method of image segmentation with automatic seeding is applied on the DC+2AC image of I frame to extract the contour-feature, which is combined with the projection of motion vector field of P frame to complete the coarse segmentation. Then tradeoff is made between the executive time and results' accuracy. High accuracy is acquired at the cost of partially decoding time and region-growing processing time, which is worthwhile at the expense of such a little more time to refine the result. To achieve the graph abstraction, a hierarchical clustered graph is extracted from a general large graph based on the community structures which are discovered in the graph. An enclosure geometrical partitioning algorithm is then applied to achieve the space optimization. For graph drawing, we technically use the combination of a spring-embbeder algorithm and circular drawings that archives the goal of optimization of display space and aesthetical niceness. We also discuss an associated interaction mechanism accompanied with the layout solution. Our interaction not only allows users to navigate hierarchically up and down through the entire clustered graph, but also provides a way to navigate multiple clusters concurrently. Traditional background subtraction approaches are suffered from problems, such as persistent dynamic backgrounds, quick illumination changes, occlusions, noise etc. In this paper, we address the problem of detection and localization of moving objects in a video stream without apperception of background statistics. Three major contributions are presented. First, introducing the Monte Carlo importance sampling techniques greatly reduce the computation complexity while compromise the expected accuracy. Second, the robust salient motion is considered when resampling the feature points by removing those who do not move in a relative constant velocity. Finally, the proposed spatial kinetic mixture of Gaussian model (SKMGM) enforced spatial consistency. Due to independence of auxiliary input devices, vision-based hand interfaces is more favorable for users. However, the process of hand gesture recognition is very time consuming, which often brings much frustration to users. In this paper, we propose a fast feature detection and description approach which can significantly speed up hand gesture recognition. Firstly, integral image is used to approximate Gaussian derivatives to calculate image convolution in feature detection. Then multi-scale geometric descriptors at feature points are obtained to represent hand gestures. Finally gesture is recognized with its geometric configuration. The human visual line-of-sight consists of two components: the pose of head and the orientation of eyes within their sockets. First we compute the head pose of a user, and then calculate the gaze direction from the relative positions of the iris and the inner eye corner.
