Therefore, the role of policies to support the energy sector to continue to grow and develop is very necessary and starting from old older until the reform older that energy policy have changed. This change is according to socio political conditions and community needs such as the Mining Law, Oil and Gas Law and the Electricity Law. Policies in the energy sector carried out gradually, they cannot be changed drastically. These changes are based on the constitution made following market developments, geopolitical turmoil and demands for globalization so that policy transformation in the energy sector continues. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by reviewing statutory regulations and observations. The results of the study show that the role of ideas and interests of domestic and international actors are equally important in the process of transformation energy sector policies using the intermestic model.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"112 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120969612","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Acoustic energy is a type of environmental energy source that can be extracted and converted into electrical energy for small-scale energy applications. In this study, the corresponding load resistance for single piezoelectric transducer is 4.5 k$Omega$, together with a constant vibration source at a frequency of 68 Hz and a 1-g acceleration. The performance of output voltage and power of piezoelectric are evaluated and the optimum output is measured by depending on the connection of the piezoelectric transducer arrangement into series, parallel and series, and parallel which stimulated using Proteus software. The experiment result presented that, when have single piezo, 5 piezo connected in series, and 5 piezo connected in parallel, the output powers are 1.664 mW, 1.671mW and 7.676 mW, respectively. During the combination series and parallel connections, the output power of 3S1P piezo increases to 5.05mW. In a parallel configuration, the output voltage that produced is much higher than a piezoelectric transducer arrangement connected in series connection. The piezoelectric transducer that connected in parallel configurations increases its voltage output from 2.83 V to 13.05 V with the same polarity. The arrangement of piezoelectric transducer in parallel configuration is affordable, with its higher production of a higher power output compared to the arrangement of piezoelectric transducer in series connection. Whereas in terms of power output, the maximum power remains constant in the range of 1.665 to 1.671 mW when three transducers are in series configuration connection with the same polarity. In conclusion, the proper implementation of the piezoelectric array configuration is needed in order to operate the minimum energy for low load devices and promise to accomplish generated optimum power output in harvester system.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131450804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It needs the energy harvesting and management system. One of the options to harvest energy from the environment is to use photovoltaic (PV). However, the energy which is generated by the PV fluctuates. Putting a supercapacitor to the system will solve this shortcoming. Moreover, it also supports the battery to handle abrupt load variations. The proportional-integral and fuzzy logic control (PI-FLC) is adopted to determine the powersharing between the battery and the supercapacitor. The low pass filter (LPF) is added to separate a high and low frequency of the load. The supercapacitor error voltage and the high frequency are employed as the input of FLC and the output of FLC is reference power which will be taken from the supercapacitor. The PI controller will regulate the supercapacitor current approaching reference power that is given by the FLC. The simulation using Simpower toolbox MATLAB is conducted to evaluate comprehensively and it proves that the proposed method can maintain the state of charge (SoC) of supercapacitor in that the desired level i.e 38%.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128090575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article aims to investigate IPM motor from the economic point of view, in terms of the manufacturing cost. Two of the costing methods will be analyzed, namely Absorption and Variable costing. Each method has a cost component consisting of primary cost, fixed overhead cost, variable overhead cost, and non-manufacturing cost of the IPM motor cost. The calculation is applied for 1 unit motor and uses the Indonesian currency. The results show that the IPM motor costs are IDR 35,657,469.43 and IDR 39,619,410.48 for variable costing and absorption costing method, respectively. The difference in the results due to the difference in the overhead cost components employed in each method. Furthermore, the percentage of the domestic component level is calculated by referring to each IPM motor cost, the results for both are 69.64% and 72.68%, which means that the domestic component level of the IPM motor is qualified for goods procurement and the product implementation in Indonesia refers to the government regulations.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130311439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the design of microbubble generators involving multi-phase studies remains a challenge in producing efficient designs. In this study, the design involved multi-phase modeling based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) coupled with the Population Balance Method (PBM) was used to predict the size distribution of microbubbles. Two coalescence models (Luo model and Turbulent model) and two breakage models (Luo model and Lehr model) were investigated to determine their compatibility with test results using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV). Based on the CFD-PBM simulation, the bubble size distribution was predicted successfully. The combination of the Turbulent coalescence model and the Lehr breakage model has the best compatibility with experimental results (PIV) so that it can be used as a reference in designing a microbubble generator. The possibility of the existence of an ultrafine bubble shortly after microbubble generation needs to be studied further, especially its effect on the bubble stability and level of dissolved gas in water.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128454330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it suffers from a significant cogging force during its translator movement. Any attempts to reduce the force should also consider the effects on the electrical output as well as the overall dimension. As teeth salient ends affect the magnetic flux flow, its configuration can impact the cogging force but also induced voltage. Hence, this paper presents several design alternatives of teeth salient ends’ shape to achieve optimum cogging force and output voltage without changing the overall size. The voltage and cogging force from different models are extracted by using finite element magnetic-based simulation and analytical calculation. The results show that flat, outward-trapezoid, and outward-quarter rounded salient end models bring the optimum induced voltage and cogging force.","PeriodicalId":367065,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125156877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Depletion of fossil fuel moreover coupled by climate change issue that caused by increasing carbon emission, become necessity to continuously encourage achieving renewable energy mix in energy primer. Large potentials of hydro renewable energy source and small utilization of it, micro-hydro and pico-hydro power plant are suitable to develop especially in country side. The research gap in the current turbine application chart is a challenge for Gravitational Water Vortex Power Plant (GWVPP) strong existence in pico-hydro power, besides conventional turbine design has been developed into it. However, development in vortex flow and basin geometry design has a robust design for the past 10 years of research. Researches have been conducted in few countries that proofed GWVPP has less capital investment and low operational and maintenance cost, however the parameter of the GWVPP still need further development since the power output efficiency still low. Since basin opening and outlet diameter are the main parameters to define basin geometry, inlet channel need to do further research.
