In this vein, a demographic segment that is particularly research-worthy includes older people, who are usually slower in technology adoption and use compared with younger people. For these reasons, the objective of this paper is to explore how people aged 65+ search and process online information related to COVID-19. Fifteen semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted in the UK. The older people were found to maintain varied and broad information portfolios. Many found the internet to be an efficient avenue to seek and share information. The participants generally dismissed social media but deemed authoritative information sources (e.g., the WHO website) to be reliable. They were cautious about scams and misinformation online, and were likely to adopt an ‘if in doubt, avoid’ approach to unfamiliar sites. The study shows that older people in their effort to avoid misinformation may limit their information consumption journeys; nevertheless, this practice keeps them safe. Based on these findings, several implications for theory and practice are discussed.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132299780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, we collected 363,931 comments from sub-reddit of \"Animal Crossing\". Then, we apply Gephi for performing sematic network analysis of gathered data. Following the results of semantic network analysis, we find that girl, boy, man, and guy when describing the animal characters in the game. Based on CASA (computers are social actors) paradigm, this can lead to the conclusion that the users tend to apply the social rules and norms (e.g., gender stereotypes) to the animal characters in the game. This finding is likely to contribute to extend the literature of CASA theory.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132972421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is an interesting concern because of its great potential in saving millions of lives by accurately forecasting the eruption time of volcanoes in the proximity of the inhabited areas, which would provide additional time and facilitate the evacuation processes of people early enough before the catastrophe. In order to forecast the eruption of volcanoes, 10 sensors were mounted around 4431 volcanoes to monitor the eruption time. The goal is to estimate the time of the eruption of another 4520 volcanoes in the coming years. Now that we have established the problem, our approach is formulated using various regression models of machine learning to see the best solution for prediction. These are: Random Forest (RF), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Convolution Neural Network (CNN), and Long ShortTerm Memory (LSTM). We used the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) as our loss function as well as performance metric, since the time to erupt values are large, the loss will be as well. We have labeled data for training and validation, and unlabeled data for testing. The best unlabeled loss is 6,042,665 belongs to CNN model. Finally, we analyzed the results and compared between the four models and found that RF doesn’t work well with noisy data. On the other hand LSTM, ANN, and CNN have nearly the same behaviour but the latter gave better results.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115388537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the mobility of vehicle is still challenging with the pressure on a higher throughput demand. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a capability of flexible movement has been investigated to support the V2X networks. This paper proposes a novel system where a UAV can assist V2X communication under the realistic channel model of aerial devices. Furthermore, we derive a design problem for spectral efficiency maximization under power control, UAV’s trajectory to support the V2X service.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"313 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116406257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Random undirected graph with independently failed edges and absolutely reliable nodes is used as a model. The tasks optimal placement of new edges, replacement of edges, connection of networks, and choice of best nodes for placement of base stations are analyzed. As goal functions we use: the graph connectivity probability (All Terminal Reliability, ATR), the mathematical expectation of the number of connected pairs of nodes (EDP), which is one-to-one with that of the number of connected pairs of nodes (ECP) and the average pairwise connectivity (APC), and the mathematical expectation of size (number of nodes) of a connected subgraph that contains some special node (c -node). It is shown that, in the general case, different structures are optimal when considering different reliability indicators. Most of the results are obtained for graphs with equally unreliable edges, but some results are also presented for the general case.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128880572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But this study has many challenges, such as The properties of the electroencephalogram (EEG) are often noisy when collected. The EEG signal is complex with many features in space and time domains, so the electricity EEG is more difficult to decipher than other data types such as text, images, archival data, and EEG that differ individually for each sample examined and collected. Recently, Convolutions Neural Networks (CNN) studies have demonstrated that CNN can be used to efficiently extract features from electroencephalographic (EEG-MI) motor images. Especially convolutional neural networks that combine many layers of convolutional neural networks, the combination of convolutional neural networks and transfer learning methods, or convolutional neural networks combined with bugs, short- long-term memory (LSTM), fully-connected (FC) to increase the efficiency of motor image EEG classification. From those studies, in this paper, we propose Hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (HCNN) as a method combined with transfer learning (TL) to extract and classify 4-dass (right arm, left arm, foot, and tongue) EEG-MI features of the competing BCI sample dataset IV 2a. A mixed neural network (HCNN) is a combination of integrated neural network (CNN) and Long-term Short-Term Memory (LSTM) used to classify features in the spatial and temporal domains of signals. Our proposed method improved the results obtained compared to the results we selected for the match.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123707710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this information is limited to either tourist spots or hotel facilities, and it does not consider the relationships between them. In addition, sightseeing sites such as Tripadvisor and Yahoo! Travel, provide hotel facility rankings based on popularity or rating, they are not considering complaints about hotel facilities or tourism needs. In this work, we focus on the relationships between tourist spots and hotel facilities and extract the relationships between tourist spots and hotel facilities based on location information, the reviews and ratings of hotel facilities, and the physical distance between the tourist spot and each hotel facility. Therefore, we propose a method to recommend users with a ranking of the most suitable hotel facilities for a certain tourist spot, to support efficient travel planning. It allows users to detect hotel facilities in the surroundings while searching for tourist spots. Finally, we compared the distance calculation methods and evaluated the usefulness of our proposed hotel facility recommendation method by a questionnaire survey.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116617611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cybersecurity knowledge among kids on Facebook Messenger within the ages of 6-12 years is a major concern due to their age group and perhaps their inability to manage security/privacy issues of their personal information and attitudes to issues while surfing the Facebook Messenger App. In view of this, this research first analysed recent issues regarding cybersecurity of young children, focusing more on Facebook Kids Messenger. All the data analysed were gotten from secondary and tertiary sources. The qualitative research approach was employed as this is purely an innovative ideation based on literature and recent security publications. Further, the innovativeness/ ingenuity of this article is the proposal of a Gamification Awareness (GA) prototype designed to ensure the boost of cybersecurity knowledge for kids on FB Messenger, which could be applicable to other online social media platforms as well. A major novelty of this paper is that, it seems to be the first research in the domain to propose an innovative knowledge approach through the use of Intelligent Gamification to boost young kid’s cybersecurity consciousness on FB Messenger. Finally, it is important to note that this paper presents the ideation stage of the development and hopes to present in a future report the development and deployment of the actual gamification technique. This could ensure that kids are fully and duly aware of necessary cybersecurity knowledge in an interactive way, while surfing the Internet, as well as boost their positive healthy development online.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116740495","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much research has been done to understand what makes brands’ social media posts popular by attracting Likes, Comments and/or Shares. The objective of this paper is to carry out a systematic literature review on brand post popularity on social media. Through a literature search on Scopus—the largest database of peer-reviewed literature, 19 relevant articles were identified. Facebook has been the most widely studied platform while only a handful of works have focused on Instagram and Twitter. Platforms such as LinkedIn and TikTok have not been studied. Scholarly attention has mostly been trained on well-known and popular brands. A list of 22 antecedents of brand post popularity could be identified, some of which have often yielded contradictory findings. Several directions for future research are proposed. Consistencies in the literature are also summarized for the benefit of practitioners such as social media marketers.","PeriodicalId":367038,"journal":{"name":"2022 16th International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (IMCOM)","volume":"3 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113932316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
