The novel algorithm uses a projection operator, which is the basis vectors for the estimated signal-plus-interference subspace obtained by searching for it in the array manifold space by means of priori knowledge. The new algorithm can further reduce the computational complexity and eliminate the signal cancellation when a desired signal is contained in the correlation matrix. Moreover, the new method has a good beam pattern with lower sidelobe level and faster convergence speed in the case that there exist amplitude and phase errors and/or colored noise. The advantages are confirmed by computer simulations.","PeriodicalId":366998,"journal":{"name":"2001 CIE International Conference on Radar Proceedings (Cat No.01TH8559)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132110189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method is used for time-varying signal analysis and provide a better joint time-frequency resolution than other methods like the STFT, wavelet and the Wigner-Ville distribution. Then we bring forward a new principle of the local wave method and the expression of the intrinsic mode function. We also introduce our new signal decomposition method called local mean mode decomposition (LMMD) which can provide better data mean and results.","PeriodicalId":366998,"journal":{"name":"2001 CIE International Conference on Radar Proceedings (Cat No.01TH8559)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134200672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The S/N loss induced by the double TSSWAs is estimated and the performance of the double TSSWAs is compared with other mismatched filter techniques in terms of the PSL (peak sidelobe level) and S/N loss. It is then shown that, when compared at the same PSL, the double TSSWAs have better S/N performance than the conventional mismatched filter. Another result introduced is the performance of the proposed technique verified by the real wave of an actual radar system. It is confirmed that the PSL of the proposed technique is lower compared with the conventional in actual environments as well as in theory.","PeriodicalId":366998,"journal":{"name":"2001 CIE International Conference on Radar Proceedings (Cat No.01TH8559)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133585210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
