It is mostly in the form of grass, rarely tree and bush; They have leaves that are in a verticillate (annular) arrangement and contain essential oil. Their economic and medical importance is high. Besides being consumed as flavoring spice, tea and traditional medicine, they are also used as food plant and ornamental plant. The active ingredients of the essential oils of Lamiacea members; It has been used frequently in the treatment of many diseases, both among the people and in medicine. In addition to heart diseases and gynecological diseases; They are also widely used in musculoskeletal problems, mouth and eye disorders. It is necessary to ensure the continuation of the descendants of these family members, who are real treasures, and to benefit from their characteristics more effectively. For this, more scientific studies should be carried out and priority should be given to controlled agriculture and breeding studies.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121586325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Before real patients, students practice on secure environments like typodonts or simulators to manage the functional and aesthetic properties of tooth restorations. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of class IV aesthetic restorations prepared by undergraduate dental students across different years of training, in terms of surface gloss, anatomic form, marginal adaptation, and proximal contact. Four consecutive classes of dental students (n = 15) were tasked with restoring a class IV cavity on a typodont tooth. Restorations were performed using a universal adhesive and nanohybrid resin composite. Evaluations were performed using the modified FDI criteria. Data were statistically analyzed by Kruskal–Wallis one-way analysis of variance, along with a t-test. The FDI scores for restorations by second-, fourth-, and fifth-year dental students were not significantly different. Third-year students had less success than others only in terms of incisal marginal adaptation. Forty-seven of the 60 (78.3%) restorations were clinically sufficient in all of the evaluated criteria. There were no statistically significant differences between the restorations performed by female and male students. The two-year preclinical training along with theoretical and practical education is sufficient for students to acquire basic restorative skills needed in clinical practice.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117206136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The groups were compared in terms of demographic and clinical characteristics, risk factors, post-stroke disorders and complications of stroke. Motor function was evaluated with the Brunnstrom Motor Recovery Staging (BMRS), ambulation status was evaluated with the Functional Ambulation Scale (FAS), and functional disability was evaluated with the Functional Independence Scale (FIM). Both groups of patients were compared in terms of pretreatment and posttreatment values of BMRS, FIM and FAS stages. In addition, the changes in BMRS, FIM and FAS values within the group were evaluated. Pulmonary involvement (mild/moderate-severe) and the use of anticoagulants after COVID-19 infection were investigated in patients with COVID 19 stroke. In patients with COVID-19-associated stroke, the mean age was statistically significantly lower (p=0.045), the risk factor hypertension was significantly less (p=0.016), pre-stroke anticoagulant use was significantly higher (p=0.004), and deep vein thrombosis was significantly higher (p=0.022). All patients with COVID-19 had pulmonary involvement. No statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups in the comparison of post-stroke disorders. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of BMRS, FIM and FAS values before and after treatment (p>0.05). The change in BMRS, FIM and FAS values within both groups was found statistically significant. According to the results of this study, COVID-19-related stroke is seen at younger ages and deep vein thrombosis is more common. Significant improvements are observed in motor and functional status after rehabilitation. Rehabilitation should be given importance in patients with COVID-19-related stroke, and care should be taken in terms of deep vein thrombosis during rehabilitation.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116830009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this method, it is thought that the compaction time will change the strength properties of the RCC samples. For this reason, it is aimed to determine the ideal compaction time in terms of strength by producing RCC samples with different compaction times. In the experimental study, RCC samples with the same mixture design were compacted with a vibrating hammer for 5, 10, 15 and 20 seconds at different times. Compactibility percentage, unit weight, water absorption, ultrasonic pulse velocity and 28-day concrete compressive strength tests were carried out on the produced roller compacted concrete samples. In the study, it was determined that the void ratio in the roller compacted concrete samples decreased with the increase of the compaction time. The highest strength value was obtained from the RCC sample, which was compressed for 15 seconds. It has been emphasized that the design of the roller compacted concrete mix and especially its consistency will affect the ideal compaction time in terms of strength.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"1 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123621730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
