Buildings have an extremely important role in energy consumption. Educational buildings, which are used for educational purposes, are important in terms of both the duration of use and the comfort level of the user. While the aim in educational institutions is to increase the level of user comfort, the main target is to increase the efficiency in educational activities. In energy consumption, the rate of consumption due to lighting is quite high. For this reason, effective and appropriate design of natural and artificial lighting is important in terms of both user efficiency and minimizing energy consumption. In lighting design, natural and artificial lighting should be considered in an integrated manner. The design should be started by considering daylight as the primary energy source. The homogeneous distribution of light in the space is as important as the average illumination level in the classroom. The light should spread homogeneously in the space in a way that provides equal efficiency to every user. In this study, the illuminance level of a selected classroom in Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Faculty of Architecture was analyzed. In the selected workshop, measurements were made in the 5 weeks selected in November and December, at different times of the day and in different sky conditions, when the artificial lighting elements were on and off. In the case of the lamp on, generally sufficient average illuminance level can be met in all measurement hours, while it has been observed that sufficient average illuminance level is provided by turning on the lamps in the cloudy sky condition.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114824389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

GO consists of a carbon basal plane containing various functional groups. Thanks to its properties, GO can improve the properties of the materials to which it is added. Therefore, GO is used in various photocatalytic, sensor and battery applications. Moreover, large-scale production of graphene, which has outstanding propertiessuch as high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and high surface area, is possible by reduction of GO. Therefore, quality and controllable GO production is required. GO is generally produced with the Hummer's Method, which is a suitable chemical method for industrial production. In Hummer's Method, graphite oxide is obtained by oxidizing of graphite with the help of oxidizing agents. Afterwards, GO is obtained by exfoliating of the graphite oxide. However, the original Hummer Method has many disadvantages due to the emission of harmful, dangerous gases and its low efficiency. Many Hummer's methods have been derived by researchers from past to present. As a result of various modifications, the Modified Hummer's Method, which includes efficient, non-toxic and harmless production method steps, was preferred in GO production. Each stage of production process affects the properties and structures of the obtained GO. Understanding the effect of GO production parameters on GO structure, is important for its use in electronics, optics, biological, and graphene production applications. In Hummer's Method, after the oxidation of graphite, washing with HCl followed by distilled water is applied to remove impurities. The final step, which is the washing process, is an important step for the final structure properties of GO. In this study, the effect of pH value on the obtained GO structure was investigated by using the Modified Hummer's Method that we developed. Structural characterization studies of GO samples from solutions at different pH levels were performed using X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Ultraviolet - Visible Spectrophotometer (UV-Vis). According to the obtained results, it was determined that the difference in pH level of solution changed the structure of GO and affected the degree of exfoliation. Food that forms the basis of human nutrition, and agriculture, from the past to the present, threaten food security and agricultural practices with many problems such as excessive population growth released as a result of activities in today and negatively changing climate, environmental conditions and other compelling factors. The continuation of the current situation makes us think that the emerging/starting to emerge threat will increase and cause much bigger problems in the future. Considering today's developments, it is an undeniable fact that biotechnological methods, especially molecular techniques, provide advantages in increasing agricultural production. From this point of view, agricultural and plant biotechnology are a multidisciplinary field that can accelerate the developments in agriculture in line with the developments in the world and solve the problems in a short time by growing different perspectives by making use of different disciplinary areas. The aim of current biotechnological developments in this framework is to increase the yield of product by removing the restrictions of products (abiotic - biotic stress, diseases, economic factors, etc.). Also, an interdisciplinary process operates in this field, where the notion of sustainability gains importance. Sustainable agriculture is based on agricultural production practices and the efficient use of natural resources for the foodstuffs produced. In agricultural terms, it is of great importance that this notion is compatible with plant biotechnology. For this purpose, it is known that various technologies, starting from classical biotechnology under the name of biotechnology to modern biotechnological methods and increasing in complexity as time passes, are used in agriculture in different ways depending on the development status of countries in science and technology. In addition to all these, although biotechnological approaches have enormous potential to contribute to the world's food security, they have also brought several concerns that genetically modified crops pose a threat. The survey was prepared on a GoogleDrive form. The questionnaire was distributed online and collected data from 769 responders. The dependent variable was the presence or absence of insomnia. Non parametric tests and correlations were used to find the main predictors linked with a greater chance of developing insomnia. The onset or the aggravation of the insomnia was reported by 41.01% of responders. The maximum rate was in healthcare workers (42.01%). Significant direct correlations were found between insomnia and work load, fear for the inefficiency of the personal protective equipment, changes in workplace, procedures and working schedule, belonging to a vulnerable health group, general psycho-social strain and lack of social recognition. A significant occupational stressor related to insomnia was represented by the contact with COVID-19 patients followed by fear of developing infection at work. The personal perception of risk was found a composite indicator and it was the only non-occupational factor related to insomnia. The best identified predictors for insomnia consisted in work overload (OR=2.13, CI=1.7-2.5, p=0.03), occupations supposing contact with COVID-19 patients (OR=2.04, CI =1.7-2.3, p=0.01), belonging to a vulnerable health group (OR=1.53, CI=1.1-2.3, p=0.001), personal perception of risk (OR=1.26, CI =1.2-1.3, p=0.001) and lack of social recognition (OR=1.21, CI =1-1.3, p=0.02). Following the collision, volcanic activity began in the Late Miocene and produced volcanic material throughout the region and reach to the Caucasus. Collision-related volcanism in eastern Anatolia covered almost two-thirds of the area and formed volcanic products up to 1 km thick. In order to determine the tectonic evolution of Mount Nemrut and its around, paleomagnetic core samples were collected from a total of 11 sites from Pleistocene - Holocene time interval aged volcanic rocks. Paleomagnetic laboratory studies were carried out in KANTEK Paleomagnetism Laboratory, and also rock magnetism studies were carried out in Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Yılmaz İspir Paleomagnetism Laboratory. When the mean magnetization directions obtained from Mount Nemrut and its surrounding Holocene and Upper Pleistocene aged locations are examined, it is seen that there is an average of 7.3° clockwise rotation. It is also observed that the angle of inclination is 60°. These results obtained, considering the α95 circle (7.7°), it is observed that there is no tectonic rotation within the sensitivity limits of paleomagnetism in the region. At the same time, it can be interpreted that Mount Nemrut has not been exposed to a latitudinal movement since the Quaternary, but volcanics is still at the latitude where it was formed.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125658831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Approximation theory; it is based on approaching difficult and complex functions with simpler and workable functions whose properties are known. In this sense, many operators have been defined and found a place in different fields of mathematics and in solving the problems of daily life. For example, Bernstein operators are used to create a simulation of blood pressure. Contrary to the classical Ibragimov-Gadjiev operator, where derivative properties should be used, important properties of the operator are obtained by using the properties of the continuous functions and the sum formula. The described operator is a tool that researchers can use for applied studies on daily life. This operator, which is used to approximate the functions defined on C[0,A] in the literature; It has been generalized to provide suitable properties for test functions by making the bounded depends on the variable. Then, a kernel function for the operator is determined by providing the necessary properties to obtain the smooth convergence of each function in the space.Then, the speed of approach was calculated with the help of the modulus of continuity.The results obtained with graphics and tables are given in practice.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131981517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can lead to serious complications and even death, it is a treatable disease. Today, both DVT and pulmonary embolism (PE) are referred to by the common name of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Although COVID-19 mainly affects the respiratory system, it also tends to damage many organs and develop VTE due to its prothrombotic course. In patients recovering from COVID-19, the venous system is adversely affected due to the prothrombotic course of the disease and immobility. In our study, venous system diseases and their treatments after COVID-19 disease were reviewed. Thirty of the patients who applied to our hospital with the preliminary diagnosis of venous insufficiency after recovering from COVID-19 were included in our study. The physical examination findings and laboratory parameters of the patients were retrospectively reviewed. In all cases, besides routine laboratory tests, radiological and vascular Doppler ultrasonographic examinations were also performed. Of the 30 patients included in the study, 11 (36.6%) were male and 19 (63.3%) were female. Their ages ranged from 30 to 79 years, with a mean age of 59.4±12.77 years. Venous insufficiency was detected in all patients in venous Doppler ultrasonographic examination. In addition, DVT was also detected in four cases. Fifteen (50%) of our patients were hypertensive. Diabetes mellitus was also present in five of the hypertensive patients. Combined diosmin and hesperidin treatment may be preferred in cases of venous insufficiency developing after COVID-19. Since no adverse effects of warfarin have been observed in severe COVID-19 disease, it can be used safely in DVT cases that develop after the treatment of COVID19.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125957632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the contrary of environmental concerns of low quality coal burning, coal preparation, grinding and washing of various type of low quality coals need feasible evaluation. The grinding systems are needed in today's modern technology. In this fine grinding study, Hardgrove and Bond grindability tests are practiced over Şırnak shale, Şırnak asphaltites and bottom ash. Grinding tests ere carried out to certain weight samples conditioned in microwave oven at the fine size values in the product. The duration period are changed after grinding for 60 and 90 minutes. Şırnak asphaltite and Şırnak shale were dry milled in two different horizontal and vertical roller mills in different micro-grinders and the fineness values of 20 μm and 45 μm are determined and compared. The unit energy consumption for different types of clinker production in industrial mills has been calculated and presented comparatively. The differences in the grindability of raw materials and the amount of energy consumed in cement production were determined by experimental and industrial tests. The easiest to grind is Şırnak asphaltite and shale, while the most difficult to grind is marl. As a result of the HGI and Bond tests, they are the decisive tests in industrial-scale grinding of cement. Since materials that are easy to grind are evaluated, it has been observed in this study that clinkers with additives produced using claystone are more advantageous. Micronized grinding of soft limestone instead of marly limestone has proven to be easy. The particle size functions in the micro pulp are defined in the vertical ball mill. In the production of additive Portland cement, micronized grinding of oak charcoal and fly ash with microwave requires less energy and can be grinded more easily.","PeriodicalId":365702,"journal":{"name":"Euroasia Journal of Mathematics, Engineering, Natural & Medical Sciences","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128071172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
