As a result of cooperation between public and private sector organizations for the purpose of combating money laundering, at the FATF Asia-Pacific Anti-Money Laundering Group meeting held in August 2022, 39 out of 40 recommendations in Mongolia were evaluated as \"fully implemented\" or \"mostly implemented\". As for Mongolia, government agencies are intensively organizing activities to improve regulatory measures and control mechanisms. Foreign researchers have done a lot of research on combating money laundering, detecting it, ensuring transparency, effective regulation, and how money laundering affects the economy. A debate in the literature has argued that adequate corporate investment towards environmental conservation and protection has been found to influence a significant level of financial stability in Nigeria. In contributing to this debate and contributing knowledge, we examined how the expenditures associated with environmental protection affected the financial stability of industrial businesses listed in Nigeria. Since secondary data for the study were taken from the yearly financial statements of the firms that were specifically chosen, it used an ex-post facto design. A total of 14 businesses were chosen from the 66 manufacturing enterprises in the population for a 16-year period beginning in 2007 and ending in 2022. For the data analysis, inferential statistics were utilised, and the external auditors' certification of the data's validity and reliability served as the basis. The study discovered that the expense of environmental protection had a considerably favourable impact on the financial stability of commercial organisations in a market that was competitive. (Adj R2=0.05,W(4,219)=23.32,p < 0.05). The study concluded that environmental conservation cost affects financial stability of business organization in a competitive market. The study recommended that Managers of manufacturing companies should prioritize investment in environmental conservation costs to enhance the financial stability of stakeholders’ value.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128985191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The inflow of foreign currencies from the expatriates, known as remittance, can play an important role in the economic development and might be considered as a major source of international reserves in comparison with export earnings from goods and FDI inflows respectively. Considering the importance of wage remittances in socioeconomic development in the developing economies, this study tries to investigate the impact of wage remittances on the economic development of the SAARC countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) using panel data for the period 2011 to 2020. The empirical analysis is performed employing the econometric techniques of panel data regression approach in order to examine whether the relationship between remittances and economic growth in these countries are significant or not. The findings of the study reveal that wage remittances have significant positive influence on economic development in the SAARC region, but the impact is not substantial because the remittances are mostly spent for bearing household expenditures rather than savings and domestic investments.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"40 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129114872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The industry contributes to the economic growth in GDP by collecting the premium paid by the policyholders and, in return, promising a sum of money to pay to the policyholders when unfortunate events occur. Customer satisfaction is an important factor for policy owners to continue to pay their premium on time and to purchase new insurance product in future. The objective of this research was to examine the determinants of customer satisfaction in life insurance services in Klang Valley. From this study, 399 responses were collected through online questionnaire surveys. The questionnaire data was analysed using SPSS version 28. Demographic analysis, reliability test, normality test and coefficient test was conducted. The Pearson correlation coefficient analysis was used to assess the link between the independent variables (Service Quality, Perceived Value, Corporate Image, Complaint Behaviour, Role of Agent) and the dependent variable (Customer Satisfaction). Overall, the respondents were largely satisfied with their life insurance companies with customer satisfaction. Based on the output data, all five hypotheses in this study were supported, showing that service quality, perceived value, corporate image, complaint behaviour and role of agent significantly and positively influence satisfaction among life insurance customers in Klang Valley. Therefore, insurance organizations should pay attention to all factors mentioned in this study when offering services to clients because customer satisfaction translates into company profitability and customer loyalty. As a result, rigorous training courses should be provided to all company employees, especially insurance agents, who are the critical role as coordinator between the insurance company and clients.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130563759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research only examines 5 banks in Indonesia during 2019-2021 due to the availability of data obtained from the sustainability report. The efficiency scores in 2019-2021 will be calculated using the DEA method with an output-oriented Bankers-Charnes-Cooper (BCC) assumption or Variable Return to Scale (VRS) assumption and an intermediation approach. Third-party funds, other operating expenses, and energy efficiency are input variables used in this research. Credit and securities are the output variables. In general, the results of this research conclude that several banks in Indonesia have a DEA efficiency score equal to 1 or have worked efficiently and the bank that always works efficiently during 2019-2021 is BCA. The practical implications to improve bank efficiency for banks that are not yet efficient are to maximize the distribution of funds through credit and securities, then these banks also need to take advantage of technological advances.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"213 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124200335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Alaro","doi":"10.51505/ijebmr.2022.6816","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51505/ijebmr.2022.6816","url":null,"abstract":"Globally, extreme temperature occurrences associated with climate change and rise in atmospheric temperature have been observed to be increasing in frequency, duration and intensity. These have negative effects on human health and safety, employee productivity and rate of economic growth. Some organizations have taken steps to address these heat related public health issues. There is however inadequate knowledge on the extent of implementation, effectiveness and acceptability of the existing heat adaptation intervention measures in many vulnerable communities. The general objective of this study therefore was to assess heat acclimatization interventions and implementation outcomes in ISO 14001 certified firms in Kenya. The study adopted descriptive research design. The unit of observation was 37 purposively selected senior executives in the identified firms. Mean responses received in a Likert scale of 1 – 5 for each of the tested items was calculated using descriptive statistics. The study recorded 75.68% response rate, with 42.9% of the respondents indicating that their firm has implemented infrastructural heat adaptation interventions such as cool-housing, shade and water provision, while 42.9% disagreed that the firm has in place technological intervention measures such as personal heat stress sensors and specialised material. When asked to indicate whether employees are aware about heat related mental health issues such as depression, suicide and substance abuse, 46.4% were not sure. When asked to comment on the appropriateness and wide acceptance of the current heat adaptation interventions in their respective firms, 42.9% of the study participants responded in the affirmative, while 21.4% were not sure. The study revealed that a substantial number of respondents were not sure or disagree with the current heat adaptation interventions. This implies that there is vulnerability to health threats associated with prolonged exposure to extreme heat events, hence negative social and economic outcomes such as hospitalization burden, low employee productivity and reduction in household income. The study recommends need for more studies in heat stress areas in Kenya, sensitization activities, review of heat adaptation measures and legal framework to mitigate effects of climate change. The expected study output is employee wellbeing and enhanced productivity for economic growth.","PeriodicalId":363851,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Research","volume":"274 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120865180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
