This research sample is 40 students in grade ninth with divided into two groups, namely a control group with a total of 20 students and an experiment group with a total of 20 students. Data collection is carried out with a test technique system to get the results of students' speaking skills. Statistical test using SPSS 22. The results showed that there was a difference between the control group and the experiment group. This can be proven by; 1. Instrument test results with a reliability level of 0.800 which means that the results are valid. 2. 2. the test result t is a significance score (2-tailed) from the test result of 0.00 < 0.05 so that a sig score of 0.00 is seen to show the effect of using zoom meetings in speech ability in SMPN 35 Bekasi.","PeriodicalId":361796,"journal":{"name":"Dialectical Literature and Educational Journal","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122904265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major goal of all English language teaching should be to provide learners with the ability to use English effectively and accurately to achieve better communication. However, some students still have difficulty in speaking, because of their different performance levels. They process information differently and there is a difference in personality (extrovert and introvert). This current research is to investigate whether there is a significant difference between introvert and extrovert students on their speaking achievement at Cambridge School of English. 23 students were selected as the sample and their personality type was determined by using Eysenck Personality Questionnaire and their speaking score from the speaking test. This research was quantitative approach; a non-experimental research design. The result of the research reveals that there is a different mean score between the extrovert and introvert students although the difference is slight, the mean score of the extrovert students is 74 and introvert students is 76.54. Meanwhile by collecting numerical data analyzed using SPSS 22, the result of the independent sample t-test shows that the t-table is higher than t-count (-1.360<t-table 1.721), therefore H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. It means that there is no significant difference between extrovert and introvert students in speaking achievement.","PeriodicalId":361796,"journal":{"name":"Dialectical Literature and Educational Journal","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130021687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This current research aims to explore the first language vocabulary development and phonological development of an Indonesian child. The subject of this current research is an Indonesian female child aged 2.10 years. Recordings were employed as the research instrument to collect data. The data were collected by recording the child’s utterances within a three-month period, commencing from February 5, 2019 to April 23, 2019. There were nine (9) recordings in February, twenty-five (25) recordings in March, and twenty-six (26) recording in April. To explore the child’s first language vocabulary and phonological development, the recordings of the child’s utterances were transcribed. The findings show that the vocabulary development of the child occurred in the names of animals, vegetables, fruits, transportation, stationary, numbers, colours, and family members. In addition, the findings also indicate that child’s phonological development did not yet happen in the second month of the research (March 2019). It occurred in the third month only in the categories of other things and colours. A study should be further conducted with more categories, not only focusing on the main four parts of speech – nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs, but also on pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, and articles.","PeriodicalId":361796,"journal":{"name":"Dialectical Literature and Educational Journal","volume":"350 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132220587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
