This study aimed at examining the relationship between individual and organisational factors in the financial services triad and the level of satisfaction with training programs. Using an online survey, 538 responses were collected from employees in the banking and finance, investment, and insurance sectors in Bahrain. The analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between employees’ satisfaction with training and their age, gender, who selected the program and the mode of delivery, while there was no correlation between their satisfaction with training and their speciality or length of work experience. The participants expressed interest in personalising the training plan to their own needs and goals; receiving more advanced training that is linked to personal and organisational strategic plans; receiving more interaction during the programs; and having problem-based cases and topics introduced into the training. Based on a thematic analysis of interviews with policy actors from both levels of government, the findings indicate that, despite agreement among policy actors from both levels that there is a significant functional interdependence in the delivery of water services, the scope and frequency of coordination were less than anticipated under the devolution policy. This has negatively impacted water service delivery in numerous ways. The study demonstrates that the underlying causes of the observed weak intergovernmental coordination are factors related to persistent contestation of functional assignment between the two levels of government, resource allocation, and perceptions of national government encroachment into county functions which erodes trust and undermines service delivery.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131996736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study utilized an explanatory sequential mixed method design and involved data collection from 58 management employees selected through stratified and simple random sampling, as well as four key informants selected purposively. The research utilized a survey questionnaire and semi-structured interview guide for data collection. Descriptive statistics was used to analyse quantitative data in SPSS version 26, while N-vivo 12 was utilized to analyse the qualitative data through content analysis. The study's results indicate that FRA faces various internal and external challenges that limit its ability to implement strategies successfully. These challenges comprise government funding, policy/political factors, stakeholders, environmental factors, economic factors, technological factors, disease outbreaks, industrial competition, legal factors, and social factors. Among these challenges, lack of financial resources was the most significant internal challenge encountered during strategy implementation at FRA.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130914200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 131 people were included in the sample, which included all teachers in one school at Federal Territory of Labuan, Malaysia. A series of questionnaires adapted from prior research that cover the scope of this investigation, as well as survey questions generated based on operational definitions and literature reviews, were employed in this study. The most common approaches to analyzing the research objective are descriptive analysis and factor analysis. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of the principal's leadership and the teacher's discipline on demography. The implications of this study are to identify the level of knowledge of teachers regarding the ethics of the teaching profession and the discipline of teachers working within the organization. This will help the relevant parties in organizing each mechanism to further enhance the knowledge level of the principal's leadership in the profession. This study is still relevant today and will be carried out in the future with increasing issues such as integrity and value in the teaching profession.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121965584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the study examines the moderating effect of concentrated ownership (CO) between NPLs and financial distress. The study adopts a sample of 42 Iraqi banks from 2017–2021 with 210 observations. Panel estimation utilised a regression estimator to test the research hypotheses of the study. Three regression models were used to test the hypotheses after obtaining the appropriate model. Our findings showed that non-executive directors, board financial experience, and risk management committee affected NPLs negatively. At the same time, the audit committee was an insignificant effect on NPLs. Moreover, concentrated ownership as moderating interacts with the relationship between corporate governance factors and NPLs. This study enhances the knowledge and implications of the theory used for corporate governance dimensions. It provides feedback and a map through which Iraqi regulators and decision-makers can improve the effectiveness of corporate governance practices in relation to NPLs control, which should enable Iraqi regulators and policymakers to improve the corporate governance system, especially since corporate governance is a new issue in Iraq. The study also offers the researchers, academics, regulators, and policymakers' proof of the detrimental impact of CO on NPLs since this study provided an original contribution by using CO in this position. Therefore, evaluating CO as a moderating function provides several literary and theoretical insights that can be a focusing area of future studies.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"222 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115656578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To address these major gaps, this research theoretically illustrates that the presence of institutional setups that help to empower civil societies not only ensure meaningful involvement of civil societies in their development but also help to develop pressure on the governments to fulfill their commitments towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The goal of this study is to analyze in-depth the relationship between institutionalization of Participatory Development (PD) and SDGs. This study will help not only to understand the logic behind the emphasis on PD in the UN agenda 2030 but also to find out socio-political institutions that are required to make the relationship between PD and SDGs successful. To evaluate this relationship, I used comparative case study method. I developed theoretical framework to analyze the practical implications of incremental reforms in the socio-political setup of both case studies. After careful analysis, this research finds out the institutional setups that help to empower and strengthen civil society, are useful not only to institutionalize PD but also to achieve SDGs.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"99 8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128008134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It’s aims to strengthen Asean's relations with Australia, China, Japan, and New Zealand and made trade agreement's goal to create a contemporary, comprehensive, high-quality, and mutually advantageous economic cooperation that will help expand regional trade and investment while also contributing to the region's global economic growth and development. It does, however, confront a number of obstacles. Many people believe that the RCEP will be another low-quality regional trade agreement due to the inclusion of a flexibility concept and the 'ASEAN Way' of decision-making. The RCEP, on the other hand, gives all ASEAN members the opportunity to help establish the agenda for a regional agreement. As a result, despite its difficulties, ASEAN must make an effort to achieve an attractive RCEP in comparison to other regional agreements.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130127233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
