Research is quantitative in nature, based on panel data of 78 firms listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) for 8 years from 2012 to 2019, with 624 observations, To deal with an econometric problems such as heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation, the panel corrected standard error (PCSE) regression was used to assess the relationship among variables. The study found that board size affects positively CSR disclosure, while board independence and managerial ownership affect negatively CSR disclosure. On another hand, the study found that the presence female in board, CEO duality, family ownership, and concentration ownership do not affect CSR disclosure. Because of the chosen sample, the research results may lack generalisability to other country. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to test another sample. The study contributes to the understanding of how good corporate governance practices affect CSR disclosure for both academics and particularly Jordanian policymakers. This study provided new findings to bridge the gaps in the general corporate governance literature relative to the lack of consensus on the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms and CSR disclosure. The finding contributes to knowledge by providing new and original evidence that some current corporate governance mechanisms are not effective in increasing CSR disclosure in a developing setting.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114370646","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Robert Malson, Assistant Director of Domestic Policy for the White House, was the speaker. The vision was enthusiastically embraced by those in attendance. As with most coalitions, the Texas coalition of black Democrats, which exists under the auspices of the Texas Democratic Party, benefits from certain advantages: with chapters in most counties in Texas, it certainly enjoys a large base of support, networks and connections and projects the image of strength in numbers among its members. In 2018, Black candidates stepped up across the State to lead.  In Texas, Black Democrats running for office included: 18 candidates for US Congress, 9 candidates for statewide office, 34 candidates for Texas Legislature, and hundreds more Black Democrats for county & local offices.  In 2020, the Coalition surveyed its members to determine what we were thinking as Black Texan Democrats.  Therefore, the survey is an attempt to define an agenda to support our aggressive campaigns to serve as strong advocates for our community. The research concluded that in order to continue to be relevant in Texas politics, the coalition must grow and sustain its membership, continue to develop its agenda around issues that are central to the interests of its members as well as the agenda of the Democratic Party including justice, opportunity, equity and economic prosperity.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125973512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A theoretical framework for this study is anchored from the situated learning theory. The primary elements of the situated learning theory are communities of practice and legal peripheral participation, which these concepts were investigated among the CEOs of private organizations in Malaysia. The study is interpretive in nature, employing a qualitative research approach with in-depth interviews to gain in-depth insights on the topic. The findings are meant to capture empirical insights that broaden the framework for a better understanding of situated learning in a workplace context. According to the study, experiences gained from the roles and responsibilities in contexts of learning-in-practice increase awareness and knowledge. Understanding learning occurs as a result of social experiences that include ways of thinking, perceiving, problem-solving, and interacting, in addition to declarative and procedural knowledge.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"11 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116637232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The learning methods of music education especially in the subject of music can be taught using various learning platforms. Therefore, it is necessary for a student to diversify the learning approaches that are used in the classroom. Blended learning is a method that combines classroom interaction with the use of technology in the teaching and learning process. To facilitate blended learning in learning in music courses, this multiframe VATA interactive is one of the educational technology mediums to assist students in further improving the learning process effectiveness. The objective of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between the acceptance of multiframe VATA interactive with student motivation and student interest. This research will be conducted at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Tanjong Malim, Perak. The sample was selected based on a simple random sampling method whereby 237 samples will be collected from undergraduate bachelor music students. This study will utilize a correlational research design. The questionnaire with 46 items was adapted based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), Interest Driven Theory (IDC) and ARCS Motivation Theory. The study conceptualized acceptance of VATA in performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions dimensions while conceiving student interest as having triggering interest, immersing interest and extending interest dimensions and student motivation with attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction dimensions. Descriptive and inferential statistics will be carried out for data analysis by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. The findings will be provided further insights into what works in an open online environment as well as to fulfill learners’ needs and preferences.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133411107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of the terms “akhlak” and moral in achieving the goal of forming people with noble character through the subject of ME has been influenced by Islam as the official religion of Malaysia and the diversity of religious beliefs in the Malaysian community. Moral Education is a complex subject in Malaysia, not only because it is studied by non-Muslim students of various religious beliefs, but also because it may probably be taught by Muslim teachers. Based on a review of theories and previous researches, this paper will discuss the basic principles of \"akhlak\" and moral and their relationship with the formation of people with noble characters through the ME subject in Malaysia. This paper contributes to the possibility of aligning “akhlak” and moral concepts in order to achieve the goal of forming people with noble characters through the ME subject. Hence, this paper expands on existing literature to better understand the complexities underlying ME subject due to the diversity of religious beliefs among ME teachers and students.","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121233232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This instigation is motivated by the belief that civic engagement would contribute to greater voice and oversight of government functions through shared decisions, responsibility, transparency, trust and respect of public input. However, little evidence affirms the capability of citizens to articulate their voice in water service decision-making spaces. It is obvious that citizens’ ability to articulate their voice is associated with the extent to which their voices are mainstreamed in water service decision-making spaces. This study, therefore, examined the extent to which citizens’ voices are mainstreamed in water service decision-makings spaces. A mixed-method approach was used to generate data through survey of 376 households, 4 focus group discussions, 14 in-depth interviews, and field observations. The result shows that the spaces for decision making are moderately open for citizens but they are less capable to influence the pre-determined position of the public officials. There is also a lack of citizens’ readiness to engage with government to some provided responsibilities in National Water Policy of 2002 and National Water Resources Management Act of 2009. All these hold-ups are a result of unclear ownership of water infrastructure and, therefore, citizens assumed it the responsibility of the government alone to deliver and maintain water sources. The author recommended for citizen’s empowerment for creating awareness and capacity interventions for effective water supply management. ","PeriodicalId":360263,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Administration and Governance","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125091690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
