This research is the initial research of a project called Environmental habitus of chefs and food waste minimization in restaurant kitchens. Environmental habitus of chefs and food waste minimization in restaurant kitchens itself has two main categories to study, namely Past and Current Period. This study focuses on Past event, which in this case is religious value as one of the other factors such as at home education, out of home education and on the job training. The sample studied was five chefs, and analyzed using a qualitative method approach. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling method for the tourism industry companies based on the determined criteria; 21 tourism industry companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2013–2016 period were selected as samples. This research applies a classic assumption test and the multiple regression analysis technique using statistic test on Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20. The results of the analysis indicate that firm size has a positive influence on a firm's financial performance; meanwhile, the capital structure has a negative effect on financial performance. Sales growth was found to not have any influence on the financial performance. JATP is located in Wijilan Village, Nanggulan, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta. JATP is currently an integrated agricultural area with various agricultural support activities planned to be developed. To support the successful development JATP, a Real Demand Survey (RDS) was conducted. The sample taken is tourists in tourist attractions throughout the Special Region of Yogyakarta for August - September 2019, obtained a sample of 360 respondents. The analysis used logistic regression, with the dependent variable interested in tourism in JATP. Cahyati","doi":"10.24922/eot.v10i1.96300","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24922/eot.v10i1.96300","url":null,"abstract":"This paper deals with the phenomenon of famous tourism spot in Indonesia which were empowered by folktale through Instagram, such as: Malin Kundang, Sangkuriang, Roro Jonggrang/Prambanan, Danau Toba, and many more. There were some research addressed the tourism spots, nevertheless there’s lack of research on cultural values of folktales in relation to tourism spots in Indonesia and how its aspects deals with its popularity and its marketing. With the development of social media, e.g. Instagram, it brings culture of tourism spot and literature works together and then uploaded it through series of pictures, captions, and stories. This research aimed to analyse the cultural prominent values of the famous tourism folktale spot in Indonesia and employed qualitative method through content analysis studies. The identification towards the Instagram captions on this research were categorized through cultural aspects based on “Four senses of Culture” by Adaskou, Britten, and Fahsi. Based on the cultural sense proposed, it is found 71.42% aesthetic culture sense, 42.85% sociological culture sense, 28.57% semantic culture sense, and last 14.28% pragmatic culture sense. From these findings it can be concluded that for the Instagram and folklore related content itself, photos alone weren’t enough. Good caption cultural values wise added with appropriate hashtag is the proper way. The efforts to brand a place by maintaining the existence of culture and nature have been quite a challenge due to cultural and natural changes of globalization which is increasingly eroding the traditional culture of a place. However, Madura with its traditions, cultures, and beautiful nature make Madura different and unique from other regions. This study displays branding on Madura tourism thus the readers get to know Madura in literary works and become travel and tourism references to visit. This research focuses on how tourism branding exists in Madura poetry by D. Zawawi Imron. Therefore, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method to determine the setting of place and culture in the poetry by D. Zawawi Imron as a Madurese writer and its potential for developing Madura tourism. The results of this study figure out that the inspiration for D. Zawawi Imron's poetry was Madura as his birthplace. In his poems also found the potential for cultural and natural tourism such as Kerapan Sapi and Saronen, as well as village circumstances, Kalianget, Sumenep, and some vocabulary that reflects Madurese characteristics such as Nira and siwalan. This research uses qualitative to uncover the meaning of research results with case study techniques. The results of exploration of traditional game conservation in Kampung Adat Banceuy can be beneficial for education, destinations, and also local culture. Tuwi","doi":"10.24922/eot.v10i1.98247","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24922/eot.v10i1.98247","url":null,"abstract":"The Covid-19 Pandemic outbreak has caused the economic sector to decline drastically and especially Bali tourism on all fronts, because the tourism sector is the mainstay of the Balinese economy. This impact was also experienced by the hotel industry with a decrease in THK. This research aims to explore how the impact of Covid-19 has had on THK, ADR and Revpar Hotel Losari Villas-Legian and Hotel Losari Sunset Road Bali, and how strategies for survival and recovery strategies have been implemented to survive. This hotel has a different target market, Hotel Losari Villas Legian with the target market for foreign tourists, and Hotel Losari Second Sunset Road with the target market for wisdom. This exploratory qualitative research approach was carried out for the period August - October 2021 through observation, interviews, literature study. Qualitative and quantitative data are processed by means of Data Collection; Data Reduction; Display Data; Figure Conclusion and Verification, obtained from cost controller, sales and marketing manager, human resource manager, revenue manager, general manager and hotel owner. Contingency Plan theory includes Incident Response Disaster, Disaster Recovery Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and RTO, RPO, MTD, and WRT Route Maps to analyze how the stages of dealing with a hazard situation, and the ability to overcome a disaster or crisis that occurs. The results of this study indicate that THK, ADR, RevPar have decreased which resulted in decreased hotel revenue. Also, carry out a survival strategy to maintain the resilience of the hotel business by carrying out strategies in marketing, HR, operations, finance, IT and research and development; Recovery Strategy by developing a Strategic Recovery Plan Model with six stages of a strategic recovery plan. There are few studies discussing how these aspects of technology enhances hotel experience through adoption of the sensory elements of experiential marketing. This is a qualitative study conducted through observation and authors’ individual experience of digital and e-commerce channels of the two four-star hotels in Yogyakarta. Content analysis was used to draw conclusion about the data obtained from observation, individual experience and electronic media of professional publications. The results suggest that stimulating and enhancing hotel experience with digital marketing and e-commerce was inseparable with involving the sensory elements. Moreover, the two hotels not only optimized the sensory elements, but also presented these elements interestingly, creatively, uniquely and thoughtfully. Those sensory elements were designed to communicate, persuade and impact users of the hotels whilst observing consistency and clear purpose. This study extends the hotel sector digital and experiential marketing literature. Moreover, the study’s results assist hotel service providers in understanding the importance of involving experiential aspects in their marketing. Thus, the paper relieves hotel managers for more added values especially in marketing plans. The beauty of natural scenery and Salak Agrotourism are excellent tourist attractions for visitors. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on changes in visitor behavior when traveling. The competitiveness of tourist villages and the unknown reasons for visitors to travel to Sibetan Tourism Village becomes an important to carry out a research related to visitors’ behavior analysis. This research aimed to analyze the behavior of visitors who traveled to Sibetan Tourism Village based on six correlation between latent variables. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 respondent taken collected with accidental sampling method. The data analysis techniques included structural equation modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 3.3.5 Student Version analysis tool and qualitative descriptive analysis technique.
