The purpose of the study: to identify the role of the loss of both parents in the personal transformation of the adult. To achieve this purpose, the methods of theoretical knowledge were applied: analysis, generalisation, systematization, and interpretation. The methodological framework of the study was formed by the idea of middle age as a time of deep self-cognition, the unification of opposing tendencies, the reaching of mature responsibility, and theoretical ideas of post-traumatic growth. To achieve this purpose, the methods of theoretical cognition were applied: analysis, generalisation, systematization, and interpretation. It was found that the death of the last living parent leads to changes in identity, reassessment of life, relationships, to the use of methods of activity that were previously unavailable. It has been determined that middle-age orphanhood activates specific mechanisms of personality development: loss of existential security (“I am face to face with the world”), actualisation of the fear of death (“I will be the next”). As a result, mature responsibility is born, the fact of the inevitability of personal death is accepted. None of the other normative-age factors have such a strong transformational potential. The most important mediating factor of changes in the adult’s personality is the completeness/incompleteness of the child’s parental relationship with the deceased parents. Incomplete child-parent relationship becomes a source of personal trauma and at the same time contains a powerful resource of personal transformations. The purpose of the scientific article is to identify the age characteristics of socialisation of children with intellectual disability in special psychological and pedagogical research. In the course of the study, the following methods were used: analysis of general and special psychological and pedagogical literature; systematisation and generalisation of theoretical approaches to solving the problem of children with intellectual disabilities’ social development; definition of key concepts’ content; theoretical modelling to create a hypothetical model of socialisation of the child with intellectual disability at different ages. It was found that the socialisation of a personality with intellectual disability in preschool age was manifested in disorders of self-perception, decreased emotional sensitivity, ability to empathise, lack of understanding and adequate assessment of life situations, social skills’ disorders. Due to the existing behavioural disorders, younger students have a feeling of loneliness, lower social competence. The semantic sphere of adolescents with intellectual disability is manifested in the delayed development of semantic life orientations, low level of life satisfaction, unformed higher emotions, dominance of primitive interests, violations of self-control, dominance of low level of adaptation to the social environment. Senior students with intellectual disability have a distortion of self-awareness, which is manifested in undifferentiated and uncritical perceptions of adolescents about themselves, inadequate self-esteem. High speed of science development quickly renders any knowledge acquired by students in high school obsolete and reveals the urgent need for the development of self-educational competence. In conditions of widespread computerisation and active use of the latest modern technical developments in everyday life, the use of interactive computer technology appears to be the most effective and promising line of self-educational competence development among university students. Four components of self-educational competence are identified: knowledge; motivation; activity; communication. In accordance with these components, criteria, indicators, and tools were developed to determine the self-educational competence development of university students through interactive computer technology. The pedagogical experiment took place from 2017-2019 based on Chernyatyn College of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University. The survey covered 87 students of four faculties, 26 people were in the control group and 61 people in the experimental group. To standardise the initial results of diagnostic tests and questionnaires, percentiles were used. After calculating percentiles for each component of self-educational competence, a table of standardisation was composed. Four levels of component development of self-educational competence were identified: low, below average, above average, and high. The purpose of the formative phase of the experiment was the model testing of self-educational competence development in university students through interactive computer technology. The analysis of indicators of transition of students to a high level of development of self-educational competence demonstrated that the process of development of self-educational competence of students of experimental group passes more effectively than at students of control group. The purpose of the study is to reflect the systematic approach in the development of the conceptual paradigm of the integrative development of personality stress. To achieve the purpose, a systematic approach to the knowledge of psychological phenomena was applied, which provides clear principles and determines the sequence of stages of scientific research in systemic discourse; logical and methodological concepts of Ukrainian and foreign scientists were also used, which explain the meaning of the concept of “stress resistance”, give an idea of the symptoms and types of stress, the mechanisms of stress resistance of the individual. For the first time, the author presents the concept of integrative development of the personality’s tolerance to stress, which is based on a system model of the personality’s tolerance to stress. The result of the study is to identify the systemic key foundations of the author's concept of integrative development of the personality’s tolerance to stress: structural components, correlations between them, dynamic stages, the expected goal. The study presents a discussion of the results of theoretical analysis on the possibilities of applying a systematic approach in the development of personality stress. Stress resistance is considered as a structural and systemic integrative property of personality, which includes such fundamental components as psychophysiological, emotional, cognitive, and volitional. The author singles out the systemic properties of personality stress resistance, analyses the mechanisms of stress resistance development, and highlights the criteria to be followed in the psychodiagnostics of personality stress resistance. The purpose of the training course should be reflected in the milestone and meet the components of the global goals of educational training, while understanding the purpose and the intended use of the discipline consolidates and enhances its status in higher education, ensuring its long life cycle. The purpose of the study is to clarify the life cycle and status of the discipline in modern pedagogical institutions of higher education, to determine the goals and objectives of teaching the Ukrainian language in a professional aspect. The work uses a set of scientific methods: reflective and comparative analysis, generalisation – to study the information field of the problem, component analysis of the formulation of the purpose of teaching the Ukrainian language in a professional aspect; scientific abstraction and visualisation – to reproduce the life cycle of the training course, to determine its status. Therefore, the problem of developing the special educational conditions of training of future physical therapy specialists for the use of healthpreserving technologies does not lose its relevance. The purpose of the study is to analyse the key educational conditions of training of future physical therapy specialists for the use of health-preserving technologies. To meet the specified purpose the author used a complex of research methods, in particular, theoretical methods: analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodical literature, methodological documents; generalisation of the results of scientific research; synthesis of scientific theories, approaches and conceptions. Considering the current state of training of future physical therapists for the use of health technologies, it is established that the development of appropriate pedagogical conditions is promising. Accordingly, there is a need to find effective means and methods of forming the professional competences of future professionals, taking into account the realities of combined and distance learning. The purpose of the study is to analyse scientific publications, the available practical experience of organising independent work of students in the conditions of remote classes and identify ways to optimise this process. The study considers the specific features of the organisation of independent work of students during remote classes. Based on the analysis of scientific sources on the subject matter and the survey, the main shortcomings of organising independent work in higher education institutions during distance learning were identified (lack of relevant methodological skills of teachers; lack of developed algorithms for effective organisation of independent work by students in modern conditions; lack of motivation of some students to master new material). The pedagogical experiment involved 56 teachers and 241 students. Ways to solve the outlined problems were substantiated and suggested. In particular, regarding the first problem, options for organising appropriate methodological work with scientific and pedagogical staff to acquire skills of remote organisation of independent work are proposed. To solve the second problem, it was proposed to structure the independent work of students in a distance format in accordance with the approach of reverse design in learning, which is depicted schematically. To solve the third problem – ways were developed to increase motivation to perform independent work of students who unite in the professional aspect of academic disciplines. The social dimension of sexuality as a socio-cultural transformation is considered, in which the postmodern polyphony of social practices and the phenomenon of sexual identity are analysed. It is emphasised that with the transition of sexuality from the private to the public sphere, research in psychology, sociology, and philosophy became relevant; the liberalisation of sexual behaviour has intensified discussions related to identity and gender. The purpose of the study is to analyse the discourse of sexuality as a way of defining the semantic polyphony of discursive practices of partnership and sexual identity. Discursive representation of sexuality in the studied practices was carried out based on the results of qualitative analysis of text fragments of narrative interviews and cases from the Internet. The strategy of empirical research is based on the use of a discursive approach, the basis of which provides a socioconstructivist view of social reality. It is substantiated that in the process of constructing practices the discourse of sexuality activates the mechanism of semiotisation of sexuality, which is interpreted as free, open self-disclosure of sexuality. Semiotisation of sexuality enables an individual to objectify his or her experience of constructing discursive practices and to define his or her sexual identity in them. It follows that the discourse of sexuality affects the construction of partnership practices and the constitution of sexual identity. A set of signs of sexuality that objectify the categories: value; functionality; sexuality; relationships; meaning/motive; identity. It is concluded that the discourse of sexuality is formed by a combination of social and personal meanings that denote discursive practices and identities. Protas","doi":"10.52534/msu-pp.6(1).2020.125-131","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.52534/msu-pp.6(1).2020.125-131","url":null,"abstract":"The phenomenon of talent and giftedness is the driving force of innovative progress, but the lack of a clear definition of this concept hinders the development of a clear system of training and upbringing of capable children, which has led to the relevance of the study. The purpose of the scientific work is to compare foreign views on the interpretation of the concept of “giftedness” for further borrowing of educational methods of training in the Ukrainian scientific space. General research methods, in particular structural and comparative analysis, including the synthesis method, allow achieving this goal. The article highlights the main theoretical concepts of giftedness in foreign and Ukrainian discourse. In this context, the problem of identifying the concepts of “giftedness”, “talent”, and “abilities” is considered. The views of foreign scientists on the interpretation of the phenomenon of giftedness are presented. It is found that many scientists consider certain aspects of giftedness in relation to related humanities, including history, anthropology, psychology and cultural studies. Examples of the main models of the structure of giftedness in the context of historical development are given. Based on the conducted categorical analysis, the author’s definition of the concept of “giftedness” is suggested, which is identified through such structural elements as the basis and factors of giftedness, experience, and favourable environmental conditions.
