The system consists of an adaptive end-effector endowed with energy-efficient vacuum grippers. Shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator wires are used to actively reconfigure the gripping arms as well as to activate the vacuum suction cups. SMA technology enables the system to be versatile, and the inherent self-sensing features allow the implementation of advanced maintenance and sensorless control strategies. For each of the two components of the system (i.e., reconfigurable gripper and suction cup), design and operating principle are discussed in detail. Experimental results are then presented, and system performance is finally discussed.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130100769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Setup planning in conventional manufacturing systems is performed based on machining capabilities of the system. When the setup planning of new part is carried out with in the same system, changes are made in the existing system. Sometimes these modifications may not be economically feasible and lead to the reduction of system efficiency. In RMS, the Reconfigurable Machine Tools (RMTs) are capable of reconfiguration, in terms of functionality and capabilities, to cope with the future changes in the system. While the concept of enriched features gives us enough data by which we can plan for the part with its part specification data, without considering the system’s resources or capabilities. This work addresses the problem of setup planning for a part on machine in a reconfigurable environment. A mathematical model is developed, to achieve the objective of cost minimization, for setup planning by considering the cost attributes of operation processing, tolerance stack-up, setup change and tool module change costs. A new heuristic is developed for setup planning. In its first step, it generates set of operations/setups based on ranking and priority. In the second step, RMTs and tool modules are selected for performing the given operations of each setup in the setup plan. To check the efficiency of proposed approach, it is tested on the part example and results are discussed with proposed future work.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130250777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The speed estimation via polynomial regression does not require any gain adjustment as well as PI controllers. The identification method is relying on the learning algorithm to enable an estimator fit between the reactive power (Q = Vsq.isd − Vsd.isq) and speed (ωr). The regressor quantity (Q) explicitly dependent on the voltage and current vectors and thus computation of flux is not required. The formulation of polynomial regression based speed estimation technique is simply realizable as the intensive computation of differential/integral is not required which makes the approach efficient and less time consuming. The Simulation results validates precise tracking of rotor speed for high speed, low speed and reversal from motoring to regenerative mode is achieved through this approach.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130369367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By some reason, such as large distance, two of the vehicles, the deputies, cannot measure the direction of each other’s position. The deputies can only measure the relative direction relative to the chief, which is the remaining vehicle in the formation. The special cases of the problem are described in terms of the number of solutions related to each configuration. In general, there is only one solution, but infinite or even two ambiguous solutions are possible, respectively in the degenerate and ambiguous configurations. These arise due to lack of information or symmetry in the data, respectively. Furthermore, the subset of special configurations is a zero measure set of the global set of configurations, which is an important property of the problem. Simulations that test and validate the described configurations are shown as well, which also help to understand what effects the quality of the solution obtained according to a special case proximity metric.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126443056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gaols of this study aim to decrease the unnecessary energy consumption during the cooling and reheating process and to reduce the mass stream of air that needs to be cooled. The findings prove that using the combination of a cooler with a controllable air bypass is the key to reach these goals. Modelling and control of either, the cooler and the bypass, are discussed including simulation and experimental results. Drawback is the more difficult control of the demanded supply air condition, in principal the quantities of air temperature and air humidity are coupled. Two approaches for decoupling by transformation of coordinates are introduced and a simple output feedback controller is proposed.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124126045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dynamic load, fuel cost variations of the generator units, existence of the constraints and transmission losses are some of problems that must be answered in the scheduling of generator units. The lowest fuel cost will be achieved if the generator units that have the highest fuel cost is turned off from the power system under low load conditions. In large systems, transmission losses must also be involved as it can exceed the maximum power of a generator unit, in addition to the generator constraints that must be satisfied. This research proposes an algorithm that has considered all aspects of the dynamic scheduling. Settlement of the economic dispatch problem using direct Method because it has a very short time for computer execution. Based on the optimal economic dispatch, the generator units with the highest incremental cost is turned off. While the real transmission losses are determined by the power flow calculation using the fast-decoupled method based on the economic dispatch results. This algorithm has satisfied the generator constraints and the ramp rate limits. The proposed method has been tested on the 23-bus power system with 10 generator units and provides satisfactory results.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"233 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115787754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case where classes are characterized by entry conditions, the mathematical problem to be solved is typically a constraints satisfaction problem. But in general, constraints are subject to uncertainty, so in this paper, we propose to transform these constraints into functions of membership or non-membership of fuzzy subsets; thus for each class, these functions, given an object to be classified or recommended, can be aggregated in synergy to give two measures: a measure of selectability of the class and a measure of rejectability; the final choice of the class is then made by optimizing an index based on these two measures. When classes are determined by a primary or main representative, the leader to whom the object to be classified should be compared, it seems natural to use measures of similarity or dissimilarity to classify the object in the right class. To do this, given that we consider that classes are characterized by normalized numerical indicators and therefore resemble a probabilistic structure, we propose to use Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence that compares a given probability distribution to a main one as dissimilarity measure between an object and the representative of a class. The application of the approach developed to a real-world problem shows a certain potentiality.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132354545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems implies the collaboration of several complex independent systems in order to achieve a common goal. Modeling such systems is challenging mainly due to the high computational complexity generated by the representation model. In the present work, we use hypergraphs in order to model the multilevel aspects of SoS. As well, given the high complexity of such model, a decomposition method by means of the hypergraph tree-based acyclicity property is proposed. The approach is formulated as a constraint satisfaction problem, where the purpose is to spot for tractable classes of hypergraph which yields to a resolution in a polynomial time.","PeriodicalId":355781,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies (CoDIT)","volume":"701 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128370259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
