Dynamic load, fuel cost variations of the generator units, existence of the constraints and transmission losses are some of problems that must be answered in the scheduling of generator units. In large systems, transmission losses must also be involved as it can exceed the maximum power of a generator unit, in addition to the generator constraints that must be satisfied. This research proposes an algorithm that has considered all aspects of the dynamic scheduling. Settlement of the economic dispatch problem using direct Method because it has a very short time for computer execution. Based on the optimal economic dispatch, the generator units with the highest incremental cost is turned off. While the real transmission losses are determined by the power flow calculation using the fast-decoupled method based on the economic dispatch results. This algorithm has satisfied the generator constraints and the ramp rate limits.
