It has virtues of high speed, using easily, hot Plug and Play, low-cost, and etc. So it was widely used in all kind of instrumentations and devices, which include personal computers, digital cameras, scanners, joysticks, magnetic tapes, floppy drives, image devises, printers, keyboards, mice, and etc. Universal Serial Bus 2.0 systems consist of USB host control chip and equipment interface control chip, i.e. peripheral device chip. The host control chip was usually integrated in the chip groups of personal computer, its function is single, and some large chip group manufacturers often control its technologies. Therefore the traditional USB developing is only to develop USB peripheral devices, USB peripheral device chips are involved with FIFO and FIFO controller, Direct Memory Access Controller (DMAC), Serial Interface Engine (SIE), USB 2.0 Transceiver Macrocell Interface (UTMI), and etc. These peripheral devices are connected with USB host to achieve all kinds of transactions disposing of USB 2.0. On developing USB 2.0 peripheral device IP core, how to test and verify the correctness of verilog HDL codes of these designed peripheral device chips is a problem that must be solved. Combining with actual project, this paper presents a set of detailed methods which make use of SmartModel tool and some developed tasks to design a test and simulation system for USB 2.0 peripheral devices IP core, proponed methods were involved with circumstance setup, command use, test module design, all kinds of transactions disposing such as IN type, OUT type, SETUP type, SOF type, additional tasks developing, and etc. Simulation results show these methods are valid, so can offer the reference for development of USB 2.0 system in all kinds of instrumentations and devices.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114348149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information technology can reinforce the competitive advantage for retail companies. One of the main streams of the IS (information system) research is the explanation and prediction of information technology adoption in organizations. This paper examines various factors that affect B2C adoption in the retail companies. In order to find the factor in a logical and systematic way, an extension of the Tornatsky and Fleischer's TOE (technology-organization-environment) framework is used by including another aspect: consumer. So the framework adopted for studying the B2C adoption is TOEC framework. All the factors that will greatly influence the B2C adoption in retail companies were listed under TOEC framework and a leading Indian retail company's B2C adoption process was studied as a case. Some special factors are given out that may be helpful for B2C adoption.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114352600","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed algorithm, DBP_CC (distance based priority and concurrency control) offers service differentiation and QoS guarantees by specifying several (m,k) firm constraints giving the degree of missed deadlines that the system can tolerate for each class. When extracting a transaction, DBP_CC takes into account resource availability so that the execution of the concurrency control algorithm doesn't change the transactions schedule. Simulation results show that DBP_CC can achieve a significant performance even in overload situations.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129924465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has required new models, methods and tools, able to lead with timed constraints in all phases of the system development. This paper concerns an automatic test generation applied to an industrial application furnished by France Telecom, where time constraints are taken into account. In our approach, systems are modeled with IF (intermediate format). IF is an intermediate model used to specify and validate asynchronous formal systems, based on communication timed automata. In order to optimize the test sequences generation, we use an algorithm called hit-or-jump. This algorithm has been efficiently used in test generations of protocols, services and timed systems, but until now it has been restricted to SDL specifications. This combined approach allows the use of known languages in the system specification (IF accepts specifications written in SDL or UML), and an efficient method to test generation based on test purposes.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"s3-38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130160174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a novel approach to trajectory prediction, that supports logistics optimization and decision making in a service area of a container terminal at a freight seaport. We devise a prototypical wireless infrastructure which collects historical trajectory data from the movements of containers. The approach consists in the application of a data mining technique for the development of the underlying location-aware prediction model that supports multiple representations and granularities both in space and in time. Also, we devise a path-prediction technique, capable of effectively taking into account inherent peculiarities of moving objects, such as a varying number of trajectories followed by each individual object and possible differences in the length of such trajectories.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"365 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131801850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The determination of the energy absorbed by the deformation and the corresponding Energy Equivalent Speed (EES) can be of key importance in both cases, however their precise determination is a very difficult task. Although, using the results of crash tests, intelligent methods offer an automatic way to model the deformation of the car- body as well as the crash process itself, based on which we can determine the absorbed energy, the before-crash speed of the car, and other important features of crashes. In this paper a modeling technique and an intelligent expert system are introduced which together are able to follow the deformation process of car- bodies in car crashes and to analyze the strength of the different parts without any human intervention, thus can significantly contribute to the improvement of the modeling, (automatic) design, and safety of car-bodies.","PeriodicalId":355435,"journal":{"name":"Second International Conference on Systems (ICONS'07)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117246292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
