One of them is using hand-washing soap to prevent the transmission of this virus. The Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University, seeks to implement SDGs-3 through community service activities to increase community empowerment, especially for the younger generation. The utilization of natural ingredients containing many active compounds has yet to be discovered. The solution is to provide information on the source of the active ingredients for hand washing soap, for example, the Rosella flower, explaining the mechanism of soap in inhibiting the spread of viruses and how to make hand washing soap. The activity was carried out in Gresik with counseling and training methods. The outcome was an increase in participants' understanding, as indicated by an average post-test score of >65, with an increase in score of >10% compared to the pretest. In addition, one product of Rosela flower hand washing soap was also obtained. From this activity, it was concluded that there was an increase in understanding of 28%. It is hoped that this increase in understanding and skills for the younger generation can mobilize the surrounding community so that prevention of the transmission of COVID-19 is more massive and conditions of good health and well-being in society will be achieved.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127338930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This activity aims to increase understanding of positive relationships and prevent toxic relationships—implementation of activities carried out through three stages: preliminary survey, planning, and implementation. The activity begins with giving a pretest and ends with giving a posttest to find out the level of understanding about positive relationships and preventing toxic relationships. The results obtained after counseling showed an increase in understanding; out of 22 participants, 11 people experienced an increase, seven got a fixed score, and only four got a decreased score. After counseling is carried out, the next step is to assist in strengthening the understanding of SMART Posyandu cadres in establishing positive relationships and preventing toxic relationships in friendships.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125099003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The specific objective of this program is to realize a pond farming business that has high productivity at low cost and is environmentally friendly so that farming sustainability can be realized, in addition to realizing a farming system with proper management, both production management and institutional and financial management. The method that will be used to achieve this goal is to provide group management and business management training. Business management training is carried out to provide an understanding of the advantages of organic pond cultivation and is also carried out directly in real business. Activities are carried out simultaneously by the group members involved in the planned stages and guided by field staff and the implementing team. The technical stage of its implementation is that the seeds purchased from the hatchery are maintained in a smelting pond for one month. Previously, soil turning, drying, liming, and applying organic fertilizer were carried out. On the other hand, this farmer group can implicitly know and carry out organic farming/fishery activities so that they have supported the government's program on environmentally friendly organic and sustainable farming (Go-Organic).","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123975515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Arrahman Foundation, based in Magelang as a social institution, has carried out various social activities and managed orphanages in Central Java. Community service activities began with the hope of the Arrahman Foundation to increase the number of foster children at the Yogyakarta branch of the orphanage. The orphanage's interior planning needs to support this hope, which can accommodate more foster children by always considering functional and aesthetic aspects. Therefore, the interior redesign is carried out as a Community Service activity to renovate the existing orphanage space with a new one with a more attractive and accommodating design. This interior redesign activity also provides direction and advice regarding interior design to the foundation's management so that it can be applied to other room renovations. The executor of the service, which was carried out online, involved three lecturers from the Faculty of Arts and Design, Maranatha Christian University, Bandung, with whom two Interior Design Undergraduate Program students assisted. The community service activities result in a better understanding of interior design, especially for institutions, and insight into redesigning a building or room.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"17 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117319074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problems faced by the community are frequent flooding in the planting area, low pH, and attack of the plant by pests, disease, and weeds that reduce agricultural production. The purpose of community service in this activity is the Batuah Village community and Real Work Lecture-Nationality students who at that time served in Batuah Village were able to explain land empowerment and village agricultural potential and were skilled in carrying out land empowerment, overcoming the problem of nuisance organisms plants and recognize the agricultural potential in the village and then maximize its potential. Empowerment of agricultural land in Batuah Village needs to pay attention to the keys to successful management of tidal swamp land for sustainable agriculture, such as Water Management, Land arrangement, Adaptive and prospective commodity selection, and application of suitable cultivation technology. Few farmers (10%) still need to apply technology to overcome agricultural problems in Batuah Village. The community recognizes the superior potential plant of Batuah Village, such as rimbang Dayak (hairy-fruited eggplant, Solanum lasiocarpum), celery, and bamboo, but this potential has yet to be maximized. Rimbang still needs to be widely used as processed food and mostly only as vegetables for the community. The team and Real Work Lecture-Nationality students succeeded in maximizing the potential of rimbang by processing rimbang into syrup and jam to increase the economic income of the Batuah village community.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134564630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mothers who experience mental and emotional health disorders are usually unable to carry out their daily functions properly and experience impaired fetal growth and development, social problems, and mental safety. So far, the examination of pregnant women and antenatal care efforts have focused more on efforts to maintain the physical health status of pregnant women and have not touched on the emotional health aspects, especially depression. So efforts to detect early and even prevent depression during pregnancy are significant. Increased knowledge and early detection of depression can help pregnant women prevent depression and provide solutions for appropriate treatment. This community service activity formed a class of pregnant women in RW 9, 13, and 14 as many as 28 people in Ujung Village, Semampir District, Surabaya City. The material was given directly by using a back sheet and leaflets. Pre-tests and post-tests are carried out before and after giving the material. The results of this community service activity showed that there was an increase in the ability to detect depression in pregnant women after attending classes for pregnant women on three materials (p=0,006; p=0.000; p=0,000; α=0.05).
