An effort to empower women by employing human resources entails the production of handicrafts as souvenirs, which has implications for improving the standard of living for fishing households. Twenty fisherwomen from each Dusun (sub-village) in Pohuwato Timur village participate in the service program. A Pohuwato Timur village office held this community service project for a week, from October 23 to October 29, 2022. The results of this community service demonstrate that the understanding of the subject material and the benefits of the purpose of this service reach a scale of 4, or that understanding of the waste from clam shells is incredibly helpful and valued more. In contrast, the demonstration results indicate a scale of 5, or very good, in the lessons for making handicrafts as souvenirs from shell waste. Moreover, it is expected that the results of this service would change the mindset of fisherwomen, allowing women to achieve more of their potential while also being one of the outstanding products of the village and a product with a high value.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139353618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various efforts must continue to be made to reduce the incidence of caries, both promotive and preventive, as well as curative and rehabilitative. Based on the Riset Kesehatan Dasar 2018, 36.71% of the people of Padang City have cavities/injured/toothache. Of the youth aged 15-24, 37.45% had cavities/injured/toothache. This program aims to get an overview of caries classification and provide appropriate treatment. The overview of caries classification can become data on the pattern of caries development so that strategies for dealing with earlier caries can be carried out appropriately, effectively, and efficiently. The implementation of the present program was carried out through a thorough and comprehensive examination of the oral cavity; then, treatment was carried out according to the complaints and cases found. The post-treatment evaluation was carried out by distributing questionnaires to participants afterward. Based on the depth of caries treated, 57.14% were dentin caries. Caries classification based on G.V. Black showed that Class I cavity was the highest incidence (64.29%). Mount and Hume's classification presented class 1.3 (39.28%) as the highest, while based on the ICDAS classification, it was class D3 (46.44%). The post-treatment evaluation showed that all participants (100%) stated that the condition of the teeth improved and that there were no complaints/discomfort after treatment.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123961324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of implementing community service activities is to provide additional skills and insight regarding OPT control technology with local biological agents to solve the problem of organic rice farming in Bumiagung village, Tegineneng, Pesawaran. Technology transfer activities regarding the application of control with local biological agents to solve the problem of pest attacks on organic rice plants were carried out in Bumiagung Village, Tegineneng, Pesawaran which were carried out in June - October 2022 to the Progressive Organic Farmers Community. The stages of the activity are carried out in stages through conducting surveys, providing material, pre-testing, training and mentoring, post-testing, monitoring, and evaluation at the end of the activity. Before the activity begins, a survey is carried out to analyze conditions and problems and analyze the solutions needed for these problems. Farmers need to gain more knowledge and skills in managing pests that attack their land. The controls that are often used are vegetable pesticides and refugia. From the final evaluation results, the analysis shows that farmers realize that control with biological agents is effortless, inexpensive, and synergistic in supporting organic farming.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130952118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most damage to buildings and houses was caused by noncompliance with earthquake-resistant building standards. As the lower structure, the foundation is essential to distribute the structure's load, preferably given a layer that dampens vibrations. Used tires are an alternative material that can reduce seismic vibrations and be used as an earthquake-resistant house foundation. This community service project aims to raise public awareness about earthquake-resistant houses by using used tires as a foundation to reduce seismic vibrations. The methods used in this service activity are the lecture approach, discussion, question-and-answer sessions, and demonstrations with the foundation model made from used tires. The approach used is a participatory approach that is oriented towards efforts to increase community participation. The preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage are the activity stages. Based on the results of the community service activities, it was shown that the participants understood the training material for making earthquake-resistant foundations from used tires because the material was easy to obtain and very easy to manufacture. Partners have high motivation to participate in training. They are willing to share the training results with other community members so that using used tires as earthquake-resistant house foundations can support the post-earthquake rehabilitation and reconstruction process in all earthquake-affected areas in North Lombok Regency.","PeriodicalId":355352,"journal":{"name":"PengabdianMu: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129380159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
