Time time variations of these quantities during the no-load motor start-up are computed and compared for healthy and faulty operation states of the motor. The existence of the static eccentricity fault is consistently reflected by the rotor unbalanced force and by the values of the voltage in successive elementary coils of the stator winding.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115240135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under similar conditions, top side cooled GaN was compared to the bottom side cooled type; both were of the same electrical parameters and were mounted on FR4 (fibreglass resin) and IMS (insulated metal substrate) printed circuit boards. At equal dissipated power the proposed bottom side cooled transistor on IMS board reaches half the temperature compared to the top side cooled one and one fourth of the temperature compared to the bottom side cooled GaN on FR4 board. A High speed driver is placed close to the transistor also on the IMS board to reduce parasitic inductance of the gate driving path from control board to the high power side on the IMS board.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115990566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamics of the dc-dc converter is approximated by a continuous-time second-order system. The continuous-time PI controller is then designed based on the required system dynamics criterion. The continuous-time PI controller is transformed into a discrete-time PI controller and implemented on ARM microprocessor STM32F746. The operation of the designed PI controller is verified by measurement on a laboratory model of a 2 kW soft-switching dc-dc converter.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122546528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to ZCS, the switching losses of the converter are minimized. The converter passes through four modes. The modes of operation are explained by mathematical description and with the help of the phasor u-Zi diagram. The dimensioning of the devices is explained. The control of the converter is easy, because the diodes turn off naturally. The energy transfer of the converter is analyzed. Simulation results and measurements are shown. This resonant converter is useful for a step-down gain between 0.1 up to 0,5 and reasonable for battery chargers and renewable energy applications. A concept to reduce parasitic ringing is also presented.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126862805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first theoretical part derives the rotor current frequency at which such aim is reached. The highest torque depends however naturally on machine parameters. Rotor resistance depends on the temperature and rotor inductivity on machine current. The second part describes the laboratory measurements that were performed to specify these influences on a real induction motor.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132585456","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method of space vectors and symmetrical components of instantaneous values of currents and voltages are used in the analysis. The solution obtained makes it possible to determine the currents in each of the healthy rotor bars, the stator currents and the electromagnetic torque of the machine for any number and arbitrary combination of broken rotor bars. The calculations are made for an induction motor with 17 rotor bars. The theoretical results are compared with experimental measurements.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114245844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It enables fully autonomous navigation of the vehicle while performing GPS-based waypoint or GPS-based patrolling tasks. The addressed tasks are fundamental for resolving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats. The control architecture is based on the Quantum geographic information system (QGIS) and the Robotic Operation System (ROS). QGIS is employed for the implementation of the user interface, whereas for the implementation of the vehicle navigation system, ROS is used. We also present a novel solution for the communication between QGIS and ROS. The execution of the waypoint and patrolling tasks is tested in simulation using the Gazebo simulator and experimentally on a Husky A200 mobile robot.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122418696","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new step-up topology is suitable in applications that require an output voltage considerably higher than the input voltage. A DC and AC analysis is performed in order to obtain the static characteristics of the converter. Compared to the double cascade boost converter, the conversion ratio at the same duty cycles, D1 and D2, is higher. A comparison of the proposed converter to those of quadratic and cascaded Boost topologies showing the advantages of the new converter is also presented. Design equations are provided and the converter is simulated in order to validate the theoretical operation of the proposed Boost topology. Finally an experimental prototype is built and the experimental results confirmed the theory, the simulations and proved the feasibility of the proposed converter.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121178805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
