This support could be direct financial support for purchasing the vehicle. Other way is tax refunds or tax for owners of combustion cars. The most countries use indirect support like dedicated parking places, city centre free zones or highway fee discounts. To the indirect support belongs grants for infrastructure of charging station too. The personal electromobility is not considerable for most citizen of the Czech Republic in the terms of purchasing or leasing price of electric vehicle and a small number of public fast charging stations or overnight charging spots at local parking lots. The public charging infrastructure is getting better but not so fast. In our paper we present that e-bike personal mobility can be reasonable option for local micro electro mobility. We have compared this solution with local public transport and individual car transport, in measure of time and costs. The Liberec region is a highland region and cycling there is not very convenient way of transport. In our paper, we present difference of energy on same course with conventional bike and e-bike and we have proven, that people with lower fitness abilities can use e-bikes. The charging infrastructure for e-bikes and charging efficiency is discussed in the paper too. The last discussion is about carbon dioxide trace via personal mobility with considering of actual energy sources mix in Czech Republic.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133353686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The power supply is especially intended for one photovoltaic panel with 24 V output voltage and 250 W peak power. The supply is based on a flyback topology with nontraditional passive non-dissipative snubber circuit. The entire converter was simulated in the MATLAB Simulink. The converter is fully digital controlled by a STM32F334 microcontroller with a cascade control loop. The selected topology, fundamental simulation of the converter, snubber circuit and strategy of control and constructed converter are included in this paper. The converter can be used with another same converter for creating a small off grid photovoltaic system.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122279001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The characterization of the battery charge is a relatively new area, but there are many authors currently working on it. This document focuses on the application of the Preisach's hysteresis model to simulate the recharge cycles of lithium ion battery cells. Implementation of the model as well as the measurement necessary for its setting is presented. The whole process is done for a constant ambient temperature because it is an initial study. The very good match of the model with the reality is a challenge for incorporating additional effects into the model and finishing it up to use in the battery management system.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126402212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simulation results, the PCB design and experimental results are presented. Simulation results confirm a possibility of such a converter working at high power density. However, the designed converter was able to achieve 5.5 kW/L power density. The limiting factors are identified and possible solutions to be implemented in future work are given.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124771514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The parameters are calculated from samples of 900 measured values (15-minute measurement interval - one measured value per second), measured by UT 803 multimeter. Changes in statistical parameters will allow to detect the dynamics of connecting/disconnecting electrical appliances, long-term too high or too low voltage, or short-time power failure. The reason for some major parameter changes is revealed by a graphical representation of the time courses of the respective measurement section at that day and hour.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128942609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Those parameters can change significantly during the drive operation. Therefore, an adaptation of the IM model parameters is needed for a high-performance drive. Estimators based on model reference adaptive system (MRAS) are not computationally demanding, but they a priori exhibit sensitivity to the other, non-estimated parameters. This paper analyses the influence of the proper knowledge of the magnetizing inductance on the accuracy of the rotor resistance estimator based on the traditional reactive power MRAS. The paper also takes into account the load-dependent saturation of the IM, which is often omitted during the analysis and shows that the implemented load-dependent magnetization characteristic improves the MRAS and drive performance. Simulation and experimental results conducted on 12 kW IM are presented.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132738866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In those tests, the battery is charged and discharged again while observing its condition. When charging batteries, power supply requires high power from the grid. The stored energy is often converted into heat during discharging phase. For tackling such problems, a system is proposed for transferring energy from one battery to another while either current or power in one battery is held constant. The concept incorporates a DC link interconnecting all system components for power transmission, a programmable logic controller (PLC) for test sequencing, and DC/DC converters for controlling current flow and voltage levels within the cross-charging-discharging system. Additionally, a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) and a DC link chopper are responsible for balancing the total energy stored in the system. Reduced grid load is the result of interleaving charging and discharging processes. This paper addresses design and dimensioning issues as well as a control strategy for proper operation. The working principles of the system is explained by defining example operational states and a small scale functioning model demonstrates operation with a single battery cell. Finally, suggestions for improvements and further development are made.","PeriodicalId":353978,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electrical Drives & Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115155644","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
