Abstract

In this paper the stability problem of the MRASCCestimator of induction motor speed is discussed. As the classical version is unstable in the regenerating mode, an additional feedback with properly designed gain matrix is proposed. The new, improved speed estimator is compared with the original one and it has been shown by theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental results that this modification ensures the stable operation of the estimator in full operating range of the drive system.
