This design has two stages, the first stage uses an inductor-degeneration topology and the second stage has two branches to generate amplified differential output and it reuses the current from positive terminal to reduce the disturbance at high gain due to mismatch. The simulation results for this design in CMOS 180 nm technology are very competitive with the present day designs. This LNA consumes 3.5 mA current under 1.8 V power supply and exhibits a differential voltage gain of 43 dB, 1 dB compression point is -12.8 dBm and IIP3 is 1.2 dBm. The simulated noise figure is 4.02 dB in the frequency range of L3 and L4 bands.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133361109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The search strategies of such systems involve multiple revisits at given intervals between observations to the same area of the sky so that objects that appear to move between the observations can be identified against the static star field. The algorithm described in this paper, referred to as Dynamic Logic (DL), has been applied previously to radar signal processing to achieve a track-before-detect capability. This suggests that DL could improve the detection of extremely dim moving objects in image data as well. The concept of hierarchical dynamic logic is used to supervise image pre-processing and interpret and detect moving objects directly from star-field. The proposed method shows a promising ability to distinguish true asteroid tracks from false alarms with almost no operator interaction, making it potentially suitable for the task of automatic detection of NEOs.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"640 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116411685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One example is the connections between physics-based (e.g. video) and text-based (e.g. reports) describing the same situation. Situation, user, and mission awareness are enabled through a common ontology. In this paper, we utilize the uncertainty representation and reasoning evaluation framework (URREF) ontology as a basis for describing wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) analysis to determine uncertainty attributes. As part of the Evaluation of Technologies for Uncertainty Representation Working Group (ETURWG), both the URREF and a WAMI challenge problem are available for research purposes from which we provide an exemplar schema to link physics-based and text-based uncertainty representations to explore a common uncertainty demonstration.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121191451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ice should be predicted and removed before forming on the blades. If ice forms on the axle, it will give a friction force on the axle and damage the electrical system. The objective of this paper is to design and implement an ice detection sensor system to prevent ice forming on wind turbine. A TI series temperature sensor is chosen to measure the side parameters, input to a grey-model based prediction module to get the predicted values, and send them to LEWICE system to predict the ice shape.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132670451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a platform used as a passive wireless sensor to detect certain chemicals of interest. The wireless sensor is powered through an interrogator which sends magnetic/inductive waves to the remote sensor. The sensor converts the power to direct current and then sends back a portion of the power through radio frequency waves with altered frequency, amplitude, and phase. The characteristics of the received signal contain the information about the agent of interest.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123879418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, ORGAs with more than tera-gate capacity will be realized by exploiting the storage capacity of a holographic memory. However, in contrast to current field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), conventional ORGAs have an important shortcoming: alignment errors arise when a programmable ORGA is recorded with a writer system. When programming a programmable ORGA along with alignment errors between the programmable ORGA and its writer system, the reconfiguration speed of the programmable ORGA is decreased. This paper therefore presents a detection and compensation method of alignment errors between a programmable ORGA and a writer system to alleviate that shortcoming.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129910136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the aid of in-house hybrid electromagnetic modeling tools, the FPA is optimized for diffraction limited image resolution and conjugate impedance matching for highest THz sensitivity. The sensor operates in the 0.6-1.2 THz band with 5 frames-per-second image acquisition speed and with pixel responsivity of 1,000 V/Watt. Designing power efficient NoCs or finding ways to reduce NoC power is thus extremely important. In this paper, power efficiency of Synchronous and Asynchronous Octagon NoC architectures is presented. The relation between ccdata (the activity factor of the data transfers between the two switches) and power efficiency of the two networks is analyzed. Asynchronous design could reduce the power dissipation of the network if the activity factor of the data transfers between two switches (celata) satisfies a particular range. The area of Asynchronous switch is increased by 25% as compared to Synchronous switch. However the power dissipation of the Asynchronous architecture is decreased by 27% in comparison to the power dissipation of the Synchronous architecture when adata equals 0.2 and the activity factor of the control signals is 1/64 of the adata. The total metal resources required to implement Asynchronous design are decreased by 4 %.","PeriodicalId":352567,"journal":{"name":"2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114984448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
