There are many advantages of the new sensor, such as large operating range, small size, high linearity, and low cost. In this sensor, the input nanometer scale displacement will be amplified by flexure hinges with a multi-stage enlarger configuration. Then the expanded displacement is transferred into an elastic body in which strain gauges are used to convert the deformation into electrical signal. However, after the mechanical amplification, the output electrical signal is still very weak. The effective signal is about 800 nanovolts when the original displacement changes 10 nanometers. Whether the weak electrical signal can be measured effectively will determine the final resolution and accuracy of the sensor. Since the conventional data acquisition method is not suitable in this situation, we design a data acquisition system including hardware and software implementation to measure the weak signal effectively and display the real-time data in upper PC. To test the effectiveness of the whole system, we present a series of comparison experiments. This study presents the impact of new design aspects of automated storage/retrieval systems with special emphasis on travel time models. In the aim to find energy saving solutions as well as to improve the efficiency rate of AS/RS's, a new design of AS/RS's has been developed using a parallel wire-based Stewart-Gough platform (parallel wire robot) to serve as storage and retrieval (S/R) machine instead of the conventional S/R machine. This innovated system is named Stewart-Gough Platform based Automated Storage and Retrieval System (SGP-AS/RS's). In this study, the impact of the new AS/RS's design on cycle travel time will be investigated by determining the expected travel time for single command. A numerical case study for the travel time analysis based on mini-load storage and retrieval system has been presented. In this paper, we will present the Cube Minimum Unit Model according to the hypothesis of considerable mechanical deformation principle of the ICPF actuator, and discuss the material relationships for ICPF actuator being recognized as a isotropic material, and show the equations of the forces, bending moment and transverse shear forces. We also give the electric field and stress analysis of the ICPF actuator based on the equivalent electrical circuit model and resolve the subject of output stress control based on the open-loop response. A ship is exposed to the wind, currents and waves in the ocean. In order to counteract these disturbances, the dynamic positioning ship uses solely active propulsion. Since the first-order wave force is too large for the ship's thrust system to deal with and it only causes the high-frequency motion, which do not induce the finial position drift. A filtering algorithm is needed to separate the high frequency motions from the low frequency ones. In this paper the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) method is used for the wave filtering of dynamic positioning ships. Noisy position and heading measurements are used by the UKF to estimate the low-frequency motion and the high-frequency motion. A nonlinear platform supply vessel (PSV) model is employed for both the model simulation and the estimator design. An approximation method for the first and second order wave force calculation is used to produce the high frequency and low frequency ship motion. Its mathematical model perturbs erratically as the change of sailing status and environment. For the nonlinear characteristic, adaptive PID controller based on support vector machines (SVM) is applied in the course control. The SVM is used to identify the system information, which is then linearized to extract the instantaneous linear model. The parameters of PID are turned based on the linear model. And in this paper, firstly the current transportation situation in China is given and then some basic concepts of the Railway Intelligent Transportation System (RITS) are talked about as well. Secondly, based on the railway building programs in China, the necessity of RITS is analyzed to show its strategic position. Then, according to the previous research work, the overall architecture of RITS is introduced here so as to make a clear picture of what is RITS and how it works.
