Based on these models, a multiple model predictive controller is given. By using an index switching function, the transient response can be improved due to the switching among different models. Electric dispatching center is able to reroute electricity to where it is needed. Any generation company (GenCo) has the right to join the market if they want in order that they are able to compete with each other to generate electricity for profit. Thus, they need to make decisions of which power required areas are worth choosing before sealed bid-one type of electrical bidding. However, they have uncertain information of rivals' cost. This paper proposes a semi-automatic pricing mechanism for the decision support for electricity generation companies to make bidding decisions which maximizes their profit in multi-area power grid system, and to evaluate effect of information uncertainty for decision making.","PeriodicalId":351518,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics (ICAL)","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125072390","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On basis of traditional grey relation analysis, multi-samples were adopted as reference signals and the relation indexes between multi-sample reference signals and the signal to be diagnosed are calculated by grey relation analysis method and normalized as the mass or basic probability assignment function which are fused to realize fault diagnosis in term of D-S evidence theory. The method provided in this paper is applied to the fault diagnosis of some reducer case operating state. The simulation result is shown that the reliability of fault diagnosis can be improved by fusion and the uncertainty of fault diagnosis depending on single reference pattern vector can be eliminated too.","PeriodicalId":351518,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics (ICAL)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130408502","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It achieves a proper balance between global exploration and local exploitation in a simple and natural way by adaptively varying the position and size of the neighborhood space of each individual and gradually shrinking to global optima. It allows individuals to randomly enlarge their search radiuses in the search process and to have more chances to jump out of the likely local optima when dealing with some difficult tasks. The test results on five classical benchmark functions demonstrate the excellent global optimization ability, high search efficiency and good stability of the algorithm. It performs significantly better than PSO, FS and GAFS. With the virtue of inherent robustness, implicit parallelism and easy implementation, the proposed algorithm is applicable to complicated high-dimensional multimodal optimization problems.","PeriodicalId":351518,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics (ICAL)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116091722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The built characteristics vectors to describe the edge are used as input signal of a three-layer feed-forward neural network. The built edge characteristics vectors are robust against noise and the genuine information of edge can be extracted effectively in the process of network training. The experimental results illustrate that the designed neural network achieves excellent performance. It is noise robust and accurate in true edge positioning. The contour extracted by this method is closer to the practical contour, therefore it is more beneficial to the monitoring of root morphology of vegetation for slope protection research. And a dynamic parameter of plant roots morphology is proposed as the application of roots edge detection.","PeriodicalId":351518,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics (ICAL)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117150689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, a suitable linear state-space model of DP vessel is derived which consists of motions in 3 DOF. Then control reconfiguration after thruster failures is finished which combines with faulty DP vessel model and reconfiguration block. The paper shows that this reconfiguration problem is equivalent to a disturbance decoupling problem. To solve it, this paper follows the geometric approach. The resulting reconfiguration block generates suitable inputs for the faulty vessel based on the output of the nominal controllers. At last, the feasible and effective of this method are demonstrated by a simulation of a DP vessel.","PeriodicalId":351518,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics (ICAL)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127719923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
