Still, India faces growing concern about poverty and food insecurity. Food insecurity has several dimensions today besides the four essential criteria that are most required. Food must be required as a basic amenity to be a means of sustenance, development, and individual personal growth. Food security concerns have multiple dimensions ever evolving with time, space, and the complexity of human needs. These need to be addressed effectively so that there can be proper awareness of which complexity in this situation needs proper addressing rather than simply improving upon the exact dimensions over and over again. In this respect, the paper draws a comparison of the four dimensions of food insecurity and how their characteristics have changed over time. Similarly, the paper shall also take into consideration the change in the general public participation in dealing with the food insecurity concerns in terms of initiatives, awareness, and implementation of several public domain policies.","PeriodicalId":349195,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economic and Management Business (AJEMB)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133247519","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Growth that is inclusive also empowers members of vulnerable groups. This study focuses on inclusive growth with the aim of evaluating the type and degree of financial inclusion as well as its effects on the socioeconomic condition of households in vulnerable groups. By examining the main data gathered from the Revenue Divisions of Odisha and the theoretical backdrop on financial access and economic growth, this has been examined. The findings indicate that there are differences in the type and degree of financial inclusion. The paper proposes a model to make the financial system more inclusive and pro-poor based on the fact that access to and use of formal banking services pave the way to improvements in the socioeconomic status of households belonging to vulnerable sections that are correlated, leading to inclusive growth. While literature on banks-corporate performance subject remain highly contested, evidence within the Ghanaian contest is sparse. This paucity of literature has motivated this study to examine the effect of corporate governance practices on commercial banks’ performances within the Ghanaian contest drawing evidence from the Ghana Stock Exchange market for the period 2009-2019. Correlational analysis and fixed effect and random effect regression estimator have been employed as the main estimation techniques. Results show that board diversity positively influence corporate performance indicators such ROA and EPS. The study further found that size of the board of directors has negative effects on bank’s performance. Another very important discovery from this study was that, composition of board of directors has effects on bank’s performance. Thus, independent board of directors have positive effects on bank’s performance. Ownership concentration has negative effects on bank’s performance in that larger ownership was usually associated with higher risks. As a sequel, policy should aim at enhancing corporate governance practices while females should be given a fair representation on board committees. The study again advises that independent directors should be included in the board to achieve greater firm results. The arrangement of company ownership should be assessed and controlled. Concentrated ownership structure in specific should be promoted and banks should strive to increase the size of the Independent Board to improve results","PeriodicalId":349195,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economic and Management Business (AJEMB)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122529343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
