Mujahiddin","doi":"10.33258/birci.v3i2.946","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33258/birci.v3i2.946","url":null,"abstract":"Covid-19 began to appear at the end of 2019 and began to spread in January 2020 precisely in Wuhan City, China. The presence of this virus has successfully paralyzed all world activities from various sectors, ranging from education, business, politics, tourism and so forth. This condition does not only occur in Indonesia but also affects all countries in the world. Of the various problems that arise in the middle of the community, it is felt necessary to provide a form of community empowerment practice. The main objective is not only to overcome problems related to economic income, but also to make people have the ability to meet their physical, economic and social needs. The practice of community empowerment is not only understood as a change activity carried out from within individuals, communities or organizations but also requires support and encouragement from outside parties, especially support from institutions that have a role in empowerment practices. One of the many institutions that have a role in the implementation of community empowerment practices is the University or in other terms referred to as Higher Education. This research method uses a literature study approach which is a series of activities related to data collection techniques through literature, reading, recording and managing research material. The data taken in this literature study comes from the provision of online media, reference books and research journals that are considered relevant to be able to answer research questions. The results of this writing indicate that Higher Education has a role in the practice of community empowerment, both directly and indirectly through the implementation of Higher Education Tridharma. It's just that, in its implementation, the role of universities in the practice of community empowerment, especially during the Pandemic Covid-19 period is not as simple as imagined. Although there are opportunities in implementing empowerment practices, of course there are also forms of challenges that will be faced by universities in implementing community empowerment practices. Therefore, at least a strategic policy step from the central government is needed that can strengthen the role of Higher Education, as well as to answer the Challenges and Opportunities for Community Empowerment Practices during the Pandemic Covid-19 Through the Role of Higher Education.","PeriodicalId":349016,"journal":{"name":"Budapest International Research and Critics Institute (BIRCI-Journal): Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125523754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study deals with translation technique, ideologies and quality of the translated text of sea repast incantation from Malay language into English. There was 82 clauses of translated text as the data. The source of data is the utterances of a sea-handler and FGD. Descriptive qualitative was applied by using Molina and Albir’s theory to find out the translation techniques meanwhile the theory of Nababan & Machali used to figure out the quality of the translation. Considering the fact that the data which consists of four incantations are translated by five translators, then the results of their translation vary. From the analysis, it was found that there were 11 techniques of 18 applied with literal as the most dominant technique. Thereby the translators embraced foreignization ideology that mainly focuses on the source text. The utilization of foreignization ideology and the use of source language-oriented translation techniques showed that intercultural and thematic knowledge of the translators are insufficient. Since the frequency of literal technique was less than 25%, the quality of translated-text was regarded as ‘fair’.","PeriodicalId":349016,"journal":{"name":"Budapest International Research and Critics Institute (BIRCI-Journal): Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125272107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After the 90s the media became free in handling and publishing. Unfortunately this condition is not exploited by Wasatiyah Islamic Media. This media tends to sink due to competition in the media business. The decline of wasatiyah Islamic Media was due to imperfect management. The obstacles in presenting news that are fast, easy and inexpensive require good management. Another challenge is how to provide intelligent reading that follows the development of increasingly intelligent humans and provides a binding and enlightening impression. As a result of the deterioration of management, other Islamic media have the opportunity to spread the news of hate speech and hoaxes. To this problem we use the Thematic Interpretation Method of the Qur'an to provide concepts and descriptions of the Qur'an based Wasatiyah media. The results of this study stated that Wasatiyah Islamic Media must understand the Counter-Radical Narrative Narratives spread by other media. So in providing comments and information must be based on Islam Rahmatan lil alamin. Wasatiyah Islamic Media Must understand the weaknesses of the radical media editors. Wasatiyah Islamic media must play a role and provide moderation for religious and Islamic thought in line with the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with descriptive type. A quantitative approach with a descriptive type aims to explain, summarize various conditions, various situations, or various variables that arise in the community that become the object based on what is happening.
