Władzę zdefiniowano jako możliwość posługiwania się zgodnie z własną wolą określonymi zasobami, wpływania na relacje z innymi osobami oraz kontrolowania ich postępowania. W pierwszej części zaprezentowano genezę testamentu średniowiecznego i jego adaptację na gruncie praktyki prawnej w późnośredniowiecznym Krakowie. W tym kontekście omówiono wpływ testamentów na stopniowe poszerzanie prawa jednostki do dysponowania swymi dobrami. W drugiej części artykułu wskazano przykłady wykorzystania testamentów do wywierania wpływu na innych i kształtowania stosunków z nimi. W podsumowaniu zaprezentowano argumenty przemawiające za uwzględnieniem konceptu władzy w badaniach nad testamentami.","PeriodicalId":34773,"journal":{"name":"Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47018888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is easily recognizable due to its location at the centre of tourist routes. It is also frequently visited, and is now the seat of the Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising 1918–1919 – a branch of the Wielkopolska Museum of the Struggle for Independence. In previous scholarly works, its design and construction have been misattributed to Johann Christian Kamsetezer, an architect of King Stanislaus Augustus. Established attributions of monuments dating from the reign of Stanislaus Augustus have been repeated many times and therefore are long-lived. Nonetheless, many of them have been made without being confirmed on the basis of source documents, or without even taking into consideration the artist’s or the epoch’s specific background. They were based on loose associations, without putting forward any arguments. Sometimes they contributed to whole sequences of attributions arising. One speculation led to another, and they were repeated in print, thereby creating ‘indisputable facts’. The Poznan Guardhouse is a good example of such a train of thought.The idea of building a brick Guardhouse in Poznan evolved in 1784, inspired by matters related to organizing the stationing of troops in Warsaw. The Boni Ordinis Committee supervised the project and Kazimierz Raczynski, the Starosta Generalny of Wielkopolska, was also personally responsible. It was Raczynski who donated funds from his personal property to supplement municipal funds derived from the property tax. He also commissioned the design to Stanislaw Zawadzki, with whom he was personally acquainted and who was also architect to the Royal Army. Major Zawadzki’s competencies included designing all the military construction projects undertaken in towns. The architectural and sculptural solutions used in the building attest to such an attribution, as they had been used previously in the architect’s work. In 1787, the Guardhouse in Poznan was built and adorned with sculptures probably made, according to Zawadzki’s designs, by the Poznan sculptor Augustinus Schops.","PeriodicalId":34773,"journal":{"name":"Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68900564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Co istotne, postępowanie spadkowe w żadnym stopniu nie umniejszało roli kobiet, wdów i córek w postępowaniu spadkowym, traktując je na równi z męskimi spadkobiorcami3. Zasady alienacji majątków po zmarłych dla mniejszych miast pomorskich okresu nowożytnego omówił wyczerpująco w swojej niedawnej dysertacji Piotr Kitowski4 Dlatego też przypomnę jedynie, że włączenie za wywodzącym się z XIII w. prawem starochełmińskim5 do nowożytnych partykularnych spisów ius culmense (lidzbarska — 1566 r.6, nowomiejska — 1580 r.7 oraz toruńska z 1594 r.8), zasady tzw. sukcesji flamandzkiej, upowszechniło tak charakterystyczną dla nowożytnych miast Prus Królewskich małżeńską wspólnotę majątkową. Przewidywała ona, że po śmierci współmałżonka w każdym przypadku beztestamentowym (ab intestato) lub z testamentem, dzielono cały dotychczasowy majątek małżeństwa po połowie. Jedną połowę zatrzymywał w całości pozostały przy życiu małżonek (wdowa, wdowiec), z drugiej części majątku po zmarłym uposażano po równo wszystkich pozostałych, powołanych do spadkobrania.","PeriodicalId":34773,"journal":{"name":"Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68900506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The comparison of these towns shows different proc-esses of the development of the local pottery in the first period after their establishment (from the 1340s to the half of the fifteenth century). In Puck, the traditional ceramic production, which was the continuation of the local early medieval craft, coexisted with the one brought by the settlers arriving to the newly founded town. In Lebork, however, only the latter situation was observed. The analysis of the both models of the local pottery production’s development brings also the question if the discussed cases are the individual phenomena or if similar patterns can be traced in the history of other urban centres in the region. In the paper, only the initial observations are given, as the insufficient research on the pottery production from the other towns makes providing definite conclusions impossible.","PeriodicalId":34773,"journal":{"name":"Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43432282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All the images are reliefs, ten of them carved in stone (Figures 1–4, 6–11; Catalogue no. 1–4, 6–11) and one in wood (Fig. 5a–5b; Cat. no. 5). Three are foundation plaques (Fig. 1–2, 8; Cat. no. 1–2, 8), seven are tombstones (Fig. 3–4, 6–7, 9–11; Cat. no. 3–4, 6–7, 9–11) and one is an epitaph (Fig. 5a–5b; Cat. no. 5). Three show dukes of Pomerania (Fig. 1–2, 5a–5b; Cat. no. 1–2, 5) and eight — Pomeranian nobles (Fig. 3–4, 6–11; Cat. no. 3–4, 6–11). Eight have survived until today (Fig. 1–3, 7–11; Cat. no. 1–3, 7–11), while the remaining three are known from archival photographs (Fig. 4–6; Cat. no. 4–6). All were intended for places treated as family memorials, such as residences or churches. Of the surviving reliefs five remain in their original locations (Fig. 3, 8–11; Cat. no. 3, 8–11) and three have been transferred (Fig. 1–2, 7; Cat. no. 1–2, 7). The images discussed in this article provide a starting point for research on plate armour in Pomerania in the early decades of the 16th century. All the figures are shown in plate armour with a deep–bellied breastplate, some of them in the most characteristic richly decorated Maximilian suits of armour, which reflected the men’s fashion of the time. Maximilian armour is depicted in four of the cases analysed (Cat. no. 1–3, 6). Another type of armour used at the time had similarly harmonious proportions but was plain (Cat. no. 4, 7–11). The first one of these has a tucked skirt. One of the reliefs shows a costume suit of armour (Cat. no. 5). The analysed iconographic sources bring valuable data on historical armour. The plate armour in the epitaph of Duke Boguslaw X is represented in such detail that it was possible to compare it with a costume suit of armour preserved in Deutsche Historisches Museum in Berlin (inventory no. W 2327) and to conclude that the latter is the armour that used to belong to the Pomeranian Duke and was brought to Berlin in 1731 by King Frederic William I of Prussia.","PeriodicalId":34773,"journal":{"name":"Kwartalnik Historii Kultury Materialnej","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46801305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
