Bushueva","doi":"10.31483/r-100721","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31483/r-100721","url":null,"abstract":"The article is devoted to the study of the creative experiences of Chuvash amateur authors – performers and teachers who created compositions based on national musical folklore. The purpose of the work is to draw the attention of musicians of Chuvashia to the valuable Chuvash composer and performer creativity and to promote the introduction of the creative heritage of performers and teachers of the past into the educational process of institutions of additional and professional education. The subject of the study was the compositions of performers and teachers, created by them on the material of Chuvash musical folklore. Based on the methods of theoretical analysis, the author traces the history of the development of pedagogical and instructional direction in Chuvash music, and reviews existing textbooks. The author pays special attention to the Piano Chrestomathy by O. Ya. Agakova. It is concluded that folklore takes a significant place in the creative practice of Chuvash performers and teachers of musical disciplines. This, on the one hand, is due to the powerful potential of folklore and the relatively late formation of Chuvash professional music, on the other. Such developments have educational potential and are a valuable source of performing repertoire. The development of music education in the Chuvash Republic is unthinkable without relying on existing traditions and developing new textbooks.","PeriodicalId":34667,"journal":{"name":"Etnicheskaia kul''tura","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43838385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the article is to identify the conditions for maintaining and to determine the prospects for preserving Moscow Maris’ ethnic culture in Moscow’s multicultural urban space. Methods. In 2019–2021, the author of the article conducted a sociolinguistic survey in the Mari diaspora of the Moscow region; the selective sample includes 106 respondents (100 respondents belong to the first generation of the Mari diaspora, six to the second). One of the aspects of the survey was to study markers of ethnic identity in two generations of the diaspora. Results. The results, obtained in the interviews, reveal that Mari culture (knowledge and observance of Mari traditions and customs) is one of the key markers of ethnic identity in the first generation (coming only third after the small homeland and the Mari language markers). Respondents in the second generation demonstrate remnant knowledge of ethnic cultural practices due to a weak intergenerational transmission of the Mari language. The author concludes that in order to preserve ethnic traditions and customs in the diaspora, it is extremely important to maintain an ethnic language; at the same time, as the world practice of revitalizing minority languages shows, ethnic culture can be viewed as a source of initiation into an ethnic language, and later become a channel for its maintenance.","PeriodicalId":34667,"journal":{"name":"Etnicheskaia kul''tura","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43863199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the study is to identify the most likely sources that influenced the process of origin and formation of the unique style of Vladimir-Suzdal architecture during the reign of Andrei Bogolyubsky (1157–1177). The research methods were reduced not only to the analysis of the Old Testament texts, with which the Great Vladimir Prince was well acquainted and admired their heroes during the construction of his white-stone churches, but also to the identification of the peculiarity of the current situation, individual facts of the prince's activity and the nature of his character, which became an active incentive to the introduction of white stone instead of bricks, which took a sacred character for Andrey Bogolyubsky. The result of the study is as follows: first, the symbolism of the white color, drawn from the biblical testaments of the consubstantial God, became the leitmotif for the architectural creations of the Vladimir prince; second, the perceived Old Testament building traditions stimulated the growth of original forms of Vladimir-Suzdal white stone architecture, which have no close analogies in the entire area of neighboring countries. In the light of the current inclusion of white stone buildings in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, the aspect of their study not only brings scientific novelty to the already established interpretation, but also entails a rethinking of the practical orientation of restoration and restoration work on them.","PeriodicalId":34667,"journal":{"name":"Etnicheskaia kul''tura","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48342000","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
